How are subtitles handled? I don't know technical details about encoding, but some movies i watch have "built in" subtitles, but they are not hardcoded, so that i can turn them off. All desktop players load them automacicaly, but i wonder if they won't be lost during conversion at videobb.

If am not wrong you have seend mkv files played by divx webplayer.

MV had option when you have added mkv file with subs, the video was encoded with subs but hardcoded.

I have not seend flash player with option for turning on/off subs.


You can allways add normal video and use playback with external player and than you can load subs.

lig}{tning: The public display of videos is still under beta-test. We shall have videos available, when we have fixed the system from upload on frontpage/public pages if people choose to upload this way. Videos will be subject to screening and make money rules will not apply, nor will an user have "time limit" of views on when viewing public videos.

Ivan: Subtitles are not handled. They need to be hardcoded to the video. We have not developed a way to add subtitles to the videos, so this is something you have to do before adding the video to our servers.
