The maximum file size for Premium users is 5 GB The maximum file size for free users is 2 GB, the maximum file size for guests is 1 GB.

If you see the message "You can't download this file since you are not the owner" it means that the file is not shared.
The file has to be set to public, if not it can only be downloaded by the owner of the file.
You can set the default status of your files in the "My Account" page. Default is set to be shared.

If we receive a DMCA notification we disable sharing of the file in question rather than deleting.
This way there is a chance to send a counter notification so sharing of the file can be restored, obviously if a file is disabled due to copyright infringement we need proof that you own the rights to distribute the file before we can enable it publicly again.

I hope that clarified your concerns :)

Whoa your policy about not deleting is awesome.

I wish more hosts would follow your footsteps. :good:

We count up to $1 per IP per 24 hours on PPD, the amount of downloads would depend on the tier the user is in.

@Privatefiles:

Remind me please, did you count every download per IP 24 hrs or 10 or what?

Free and paid users can now upload files up to 5 GB in file size, max 1 GB file size bug have been resolved

How about the speed, though?

There were some comments of it not being 1.5Mbps anymore, but like 150Kbps? Which is fine, had to happen at one point, I just need confirmation.

Also, is the upto 1$ per IP rule changing any time soon or in place for some longer period of time?

I have no plans on changing the $1 per IP rule.

Guests can download with 75 KB/sec per file, registered users can download with 100 KB/sec per file and there is no restrictions set for premium users.
