Now, I've spoken to techs about it and there may be a little finetuning to this, however, the captcha will be here to stay. How do you login to your gmail when you punch your details wrong a few times? Captcha.

Don't know about Gmail. Don't use it.

But i don't put my details in wrong. That I do know. And I also didn't put them wrong for fileserve.

When someone tried to bruteforce our accounts, there should be some kind of warning system for the owner of the account; but this is not good. Because there was no attack on my account, I didn't cheat, did nothing wrong... and now I can't upload to my own account through my private rapidleech or sborg.

You do know that continuous discussion about this won't help resolve anything. It's 11.40PM. Which tech is at work doing anything at these hours?

It's fixed for mee too now. And fileserve manager works again.

But I still don't understand why are you so ignorant Ricky, and why you don't trust us even little bit. Instead of checking with your tech staff you are calling us idiots and blaming it on us.

NOBODY on planet earth know my username neither I gave it to anyone. I don't login from multiple IPs because I didn't restart my modem for a month. I don't use any upload manager or leechs or anything, I don't even know how that stuff works. I just normally upload/download couple movies and tv shows weekly and thats it. And suddenly I was stucked with captcha.

And that IP system is so damn stupid because I(and tons of users) have ADSL modem and dynamic IP address(when my modem restarts I get new IP address) and what's gonna happen when our modem restarts?! Think about that....

I'm now facing the same issue, with captcha login. No one is logging into my account, I didn't fill my details wrong or even more than once, and it asks me for captcha all the time.... Keeps logging me out every couple of minutes and asking for captcha.....

I already cleared cache and cookies: still same thing.

Well, I've been asking about this for many hours......


And as mentioned by the user above, dynamic IP's are common now, so blocking us with captcha is not a good solution.

I have been unable to upload a single file since this captcha showed up this morning, which was about 8 hours ago.

Please.... find a way to turn this around. Because if this captcha issue is permanent, I'll never be able to upload to my premium account using my private rapidleech and sborg, which I haven't shared with absolutely anyone.

I didn't know is that possible not a single person buying fileserve premium link with my site because I did not get any sales in last 20-30 days.

The captcha isn't triggered out of nowhere. As can be seen by many other users, they don't have this problem.

What's going to happen when your modem restarts? Nothing. Maybe we will make changes to in the next few days. If we do, we won't reveal anything.

There's obviously people out there who wants to target FS, since they're pissed off (I'm guessing this is the retaliation from the Italian wankers that got banned en-mass) and wants to see us fail. This isn't happening

@ ILHFFS: ?? A sale is accounted for when they come from your webpage to purchase, not to download a file and then purchase. The latter is easier to account for.

I don't understand why my account triggered captcha. I had uploaded 1 file (not joking - 1 file!) this morning, and after that I got logged out and asked for captcha. Aftr that, no more uploads for me because of Captcha.

It's not fair for users like me, who abide by the rules, don't cheat, don't do anything wrong, to get this.

And entire day wasted with no uploads. And if the captcha is permanent, then I'm screwed. I worked too hard to have earnings on fileserve, even if they're not much, I've worked for them.

Guys i do not get it.I use RL to download more than 20/30 files daily.I also use my works computer to download through FS.Guess what,i download through my home too.3 Dif IPs.

Are you calling me a cheater?!! I DID NOTHING WRONG.

I've used the same upload methods for a long, long time, without any problems, captchas, or anything. And today, for absolutely nothing I did, captcha appeared.

Ricky I don't see anyone screaming about this issue. We only have reported it's causing us issues. Some can't upload or download with their favorite tool, because they rely on their developers to fix it. I found a way to fix it in my own tool, so I only came here to calmly report this issue. I can change my scripts to adapt whatever change you make on your site. Some are giving me headaches, some don't. Truth is, Fileserve has been one of the worse site to develop script for. Only issue I have currently is that I believe this change has decreased my earnings, because people with premium accounts can't download with Jdownloader.

Take a look at your competition, Filesonic. They introduced a new API (http://api.filesonic.com/user), that all developers can make use of, bypassing all need to even work with HTML and emulating how browsers work. If you made something similar for Fileserve it would help immensely for both uploaders and downloaders alike.

Popular public uploading tools like rapidleech and sBorg would mak use of it, as would downloading tools like JDownloader.

Check out this thread, that has even been stickied - http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=22069&page=43 People are having issues with it since not a few days ago. Something must've changed. And like any other change some people may experience bugs/issues with it.

All I wanted to say is just take a look at it, I'm sure there can be something done regarding this issue. Fact is, most people who have issue with this are people that use some kind of tool. If you implemented your own API, all these problems would go away. Also API are mostly prone to changes you make to site itself, parsing HTML pages is pain in the ass for developers, when all little things that you may change on your website may break the script.

?! Did I said that? It's great that you fixed it and thanks for doing so. Only thing I asked you to do is to check with your staff and inspect the problem, not to blame my typing skills etc.

Dude try google, tons of users are having this problem sudden out of nowhere. This is not some conspiracy against fileserve, I love fileserve it's best on the web, I bought damn 2 years premium account ffs. Only thing we were asking is for you to listen to your users and check that captcha engine with your tech staff.

I have 70kbps speed but I'm not complaining as you can see, I'm using fileserve manager to get full speed. I'm definitely not one of "people out there who wants to target FS, since they're pissed off"!

My IP will change and because your 1 IP rule I will get captcha again.

I can log out and log in to the FS main page without a captcha, but 95% of rapidleech transfers now fail (from about 25% yesterday) with "Couldn't connect to fsdndm.fileserve.com at port 80"

No idea if its related to captcha problems but its frustrating - all I want to do is back up my own files.

if captcha is added due to some bruteforce issue , u better know that they can ezly bypass captcha just like they crack porn accounts , well this is a bad idea now people gonna switch to other filehost bcoz 80% of uploaders use rl or sborg ................................................ think twice

@ Shagrath: Same data coming in, same amount of downloads by premiums/free, same earnings. Same everything basically, so I guess 80% of those uploaders must only account for less than .1% if we stick with real data and not assumptions
