Look under transload

Go to advanced options and see if the setting "Delete files after Upload?" in 1st column is ticked. I think it does it by default to save disk space. It will delete the files in your "my files" folder as well. I have done the same thing myself several times. I now have a folder on my desktop with the files I want for every post so I can quickly re up them in case I forget. I am sure you can set this so it does not delete these files but i do not now how yet. Hope this helps for now and maybe an expert can come up with a better way for both of us!

In transload i make a new template but all the settings revert back to default when I try to reload it. For instance i want File-link end tag to be visit bla bla bla on every file. I want Add custom files from folder default every time but it always goes back to no.

Surely I don't have to change this with every upload.

Been at this for 13 hours now and managed 1 upload and even then it didn't change the file name so had to go to 5 hosting sites and manually change 5 links at each!

Do you have Teamviewer? this is driving me nuts!

My suggestion, change browser or internet connection. Your browser/net is caching the pages so even though you change the settings, your browser does not reflect the changes. I've changed your row to 7 and cols to 2. As you can see, it works fine for me. If you are using Firefox, I would suggest you use IE or Opera with a proxy. If not, use Firefox with a proxy.

You need to place your url and txt files inside the "default" folder inside "myfiles" folder (or make another folder inside "myfiles" folder and place it in there). Make sure you are using the latest update of sBorg v5.0

This problem was fixed in the latest update.

files from "myfiles'' is deleted for me too :(

Experts feel free to improve but this is a workaround for now.

Note: I don't bother using the saved template as it only takes a few clicks to set this up.

have to go out but will try to put up screens uploading later.

I am NOT an expert, only been using this for a few days but when I get used to it I will do a tutorial for the basics. I've spent hours and hours just to get this far... any one else got any tips?


Just noticed I have marked "delete files after upload as untick" here. Not necessary for download but MUST for upload if you want to keep the files in My Files folder.

As you can read, the files are being added and deleted from a "temp" folder. Files from the folder you have selected gets copied to temp folder, added to RAR, and finally deleted. So your original files stay intact. I doubt you have problem with this aswell...

Upgraded the latest update, I still have the same problem

I created "siteinfo" folder inside "myfiles" folder and uploaded my custom files to "siteinfo" folder.

Choose Add custom files in advanced options (siteinfo) but it's not appeared in my files (downloaded and checked many times).

After complete, i saw "temp" folder inside "myfiles" folder but all files inside "siteinfo" folder disappear

Try my way for now

untick delete files after upload, then after go to file manager and delete the upload from "Files" folder, Your files should still be in "My Files"

I must have tried 30 -50 times every other way and my files still got deleted.

Have you got a "Temp" folder in "My files"

If I remember correctly when I first got this software that folder wasn't there. If it is not try upgrade again or contact support. Without it it will delete your files

Also, even if you save the settings as a template sBorg only saves some, See page 11 (53) for what is saved. Here it is.

53. Save sBorg Template – If you want to save your current settings as a template, enter the name of the
template. The following settings will be saved:
o Remove from filename
o Split files
o Add own files to archive
o Split size
o RAR files
o Wordpress category
o RAR part size
o Delete files after upload
o Lock RAR files
o MTN watermark text
o Add comments to RAR file
o Popup after upload
o New password for RAR file

I wish I could set the following:

Remove useless files: To remove none
Megaupload Description: Mine is always the same
Upload to filehosts?: Unticked so I have to set it to upload (Getting really fed up with having to delete unrared files from 5 hosts)
Delete files after Upload?: If the others were ok this might be ok but if I make 1 mistake it's back to downloading the file again. Waste of bandwith.

Maybe on the next update

Try running a update manually by going to domain.com/sborg/update.php and entering your details. If that still doesn't fix your problem, open a support ticket: http://sborg.us/support/

I upgraded the latest update. Add custom files are ok but "temp" folder was not used so my original customs file was deleted

What could it be? I can't even login after updating setup. It happens when I try to change the download folder' path.

Ask your hosting provider to reinstall sBorg. That will definitely fix the issue. You have missed a intermediate update which fixed the rar issue. Only a reinstall will fix your problem now.

What location did u set for your download folder? Btw, if this error happens, you can always delete the "account.php" file to reset sBorg. Remember that you cannot use double quotes " " when you are setting your download folder.

i tried both temp and default folder while adding files to rar, but in both cases the original files where deleted

There was a bug in core script which i did not notice. I've fixed it and reinstalled your sBorg. It should be working perfectly now.
