@minhete, you are right about your comments. though there are two things. I did not decide to close the site. I just announced that if it keeps going like this i must do it.

The sales are quite good. Even if they are not in euros in the payment processors, sales are done. The problem is that traffic is 25% of what i had before problems.

If the traffic increases back to what it was (100%) the sales are proportinally almost the same as those with Paypal.

I mean: Let's say in the Paypal times it was earning 10euros per month with 100 people visiting.
During problems period, it was earning 5euros with same people. Now it earns 2 euros with 25 people. Analogically if i had 100 people with today's processors it would earn 8 euros...

So the problem is the traffic. As a consequence AFFILIATES ;)

Cloudflare is not a big problem. As you see cloudflare is disabled almost all day long. I just enable it few hours when high loading starts. If high loading is all day long i must leave it all day long. It is better to have the site live all the time with cloudflare than not having it online like December.

With the site live i have almost no chargebacks. People get sattisfied. I know massive downloaders do not like the times i put it on cloudflare high protection level but this is the only way to be live at that moment.

I promise i do not want to give up. I will try the best possible to keep it up. In these 2 weeks i will try the best.

It is very probable to put PPD. This has to be studied though before activated. You know, rates and so on...

I just need traffic. The sales, although not the best, are sattisfactory. The problem is the low traffic.

Won't it possible to scale the business down and just keep the uploaders with a good download/sale ratio ? Just checked my stats and although not a big uploader, my February traffic and earnings doubled compared with June ;-)

If you can do like this, FM will still exist as a quality host with room to grow, and probably most important for you : you will not look like another guy who tried it but had to give up after a couple of months because of blackmail from a guy in the bushes

Or : start a new, small host, PM your best uploaders, and move their files to that new host. New uploaders will be accepted on invitation only (after they gave you proof of earnings) Old download links will remain valid on the new host (has been done before). If you fly under the radar (=not open a support threat here, stay out of google), you might even be able to accept PP.

We didn't always agree in the past, but as most people here, I respect you as both human and business man.

You have the servers, the respect of your affiliates and the know how, please don't throw that away ;-)

filemates, assfile, hugefiles, oteupload are crawling on ground and even if several months passes
they could not recover them from swamp. But they accept this crawling and accepted small company
instead of BIG and TARGET company of hunters as I see.

and filemates.com has only 1 million file in google and they still refuse they are
crawling like a cockroach. They need better support and tech team not body guard team.
 
nobody look at support while searching files , I talk about downloaders. They search options in google. And If they can not find files, they prefer other hosts. And filemates Extra abnormal server protecions make people sick, the more people sick, they ignore filemates files and the less people upload. I post warez for years and know google. And did you see filestube removed filemates and count on me, people use filestube nearly as much as google. At least it does not give fake urls like google.
and the companies that does not in filestube give less sales. Check the small companies above are not in filestube list

I think that can very easily be solved ... just implement web sales as so many of your competitors do

Why should a big website allow you as the same content on another host generates them big $$$ ?
 
106.42998% agreed with Kinepolis.

Without web sales, you can forget about being admitted into big forums and high activities sites. It was bad business decision made in the past that has come back to haunt our friend here.

I said that sales proportionally to the traffic are better. Not traffic itself. That's the problem. The graph of Alexa... I agree with you ananisikim. That's what i will try to solve next weeks before i get any final decision.

What do you mean implement web sales?
 
Or even better, you can implement tiered site sales commission. Eg. if someone get 1 to 20 sales per month from one site, sales commission will be 5%, 20 to 50 sales per month = 10%, more than 50 sales = 15%. This will encourage site owners to implement policy to encourage posters to use your service.
 
the webmaster feature already exists... it is private and only admin can add a site. so this is exactly what i try to offer to the forums contacted.

because i use it when i contact websites for collaboration. it is not public for everyone with a website... for specific reasons that i can not analyze here...ù

Just PM good websites and forums you know and i will do the best to contact them and try it out...

I really do not want to give up! Even if tired to receive negative answers all the time from payment processors, i believe that it can be solved! Already the existing processors are not bad.
 
Yay someone posted your latest news on my site as comment, so practically i an stop instantly using your service, no one will buy a premium account there over any of my links before March 10.

Your tranparency and seriosity is most appreciated but u should have only informed your affiliates first about that issue and not the whole crowd.

There's no need to make such information public for everyone, if you really that honest person u can send them their money back if they paid premium and cannot use it if you really shut down the site.


Imagine: Would you pay for premium with this background?

If you decide to abruptly close the site - rather than "grandfather" it out - you should consider how you plan to satisfy chargeback claims.
