On the other hand, if the anti-ad blocker did not trigger, the view was counted correctly, now it is working in a different way: even if the ad blocker does not trigger (because there is no active blocker), the video allows the user to be played, but The view is counted, but equally invalid, due to an alleged use of Adblock, so you will not receive any profit from the ads that the user had to bypass in order to see the video. UPDATE: It seems that the problem where VPNs are not detected only happens when the video is being viewed from its iframe (embedded code), remember that (as I mentioned before), this was working perfectly a few days ago.

On the other hand, UBlock Origin is blocking the ads and AbStream's anti-adblock is allowing the video to be viewed (in this case, I cannot verify if this happens only when the video is embedded, so I don't know if viewing it from the AbStream page, the same thing is happening), so there will be no profit for the uploader.

I must add and correct: Likewise, viewing the video from the AbStream page, with an active ad blocker (like Ublock Origin in my case) and VPN or proxy, the message that forces the VPN connection to be disabled is not displayed and therefore Therefore the video can be viewed, without profit for the uploader.

We used to force all users to disable VPN/Proxy and adblock. Now, we created an option for uploader to decide whether to force their users to disable vpn and adblock in player settings or not. We can still detect VPN and adblock but will not count it as paid view. You can check it out and confirm.

Go to player settings and turn on "Force to disable adblock".

Local files load perfectly, I never said they don't. However, I just realized something about this: As the links are currently displayed, it is through a new window (they are not refreshed, on the same page as the file upload), at the end of the upload, the website (AbStream) tries to automatically open (without the user having clicked on any link), a new pop-up window, that is when the browser asks the user for permission to open it, if the user does not realize that there is a request, the window does not open, because The site is trying to open pop-ups without permission.


I remain very attentive, I hope they are willing to solve the indicated failure, related to the anti-blocking system, for ad blockers, and illegitimate traffic sources such as VPN, proxy, etc. (Bug #18); because currently all browsers, no matter how simple they are, implement a small blocking of trackers and ads, active by default (which in the end do not block anything, because the advertising networks easily outwit them), then, the "anti-ad blocker and VPN traffic" system, at this moment is inefficient and allows the playback of the video (without caring whether or not the user received ads, or whether or not they are using a VPN connection); but the funny thing about this is that when it goes to determine whether or not it should count the visit (playback) as profit for the uploader, then suddenly, this system becomes excessively efficient and of course, it immediately discards it (for obvious reasons), but as I already said, maybe it gave it amnesia to block the playback of the video.

Also, I hope it will be resolved soon, related to the progress value of the remote uploading/encoding queue reported by the API (Bug #10)

Update: I just tested again and it seems that they have corrected most of the problems related to bug #18.

However, in Firefox, with Ublock Origin active, the anti-blocking system is still stupid and allows the video to be played, without any problem; On the contrary, if I deactivate Ublock Origin, the anti-blocking system for VPN and Ad-blocker work perfectly again. I don't know if the same thing is happening with adblock as with uBlock, but I suppose so, because they work practically the same way.

If you ask me about AdGuard paid version (which is the best there is), AbStream's anti-blocking system, I think it has always worked perfectly.

Many users don't really use Ublock Origin. I think Ublock origin is only available in PC device as extension. It breaks websites most of the time. Sometimes it blocks everything (both ads and non-ads normal js code)

when exporting embedded file, it doesn't show the video title while we export the file, can you add?, because if the file is corrupted, the uploader can easily find that video from the file information so it can be re-uploaded

Unfortunately, this remains ineffective when the user uses uBlock Origin on a PC/Mac, with any browser such as Firefox, Edge, or Opera.

uBlock Origin is capable of circumventing AbStream's anti-ad blocker, VPN and Proxy system, but in the case of other video hosting such as Veev, it fails, so if it is possible, AbStream improves its algorithm to be more effective against uBlock as well.

Looks like, they've also fixed progress on remote loading. Now the queues are reflecting the correct value and therefore working perfectly, thank you very much.

Hi, when I put my LTC info on the website and save settings and then confirm the link via e-mal, LTC address is saved but it only shows up as "BTC option" even though I switched to LTC and payout can't be requested right now.
 
Received my first payment. Thanks. For now I can see lots of adblock views even though my force adblock is enabled, would be great if maybe adblock function would be optimized (cause almost 30%-40% of adblock with adblock forced is a bit too high even though there are many ways to evade it, I am aware). It's hard but maybe possible to make it a little better.
