Was an AVG fan a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago, back in the mininova era. Then switched to ESET NOD32 but apparently it started to suck lately due to its inadequate database updates. Recently, MSE and Sandboxie as well.

I suggest to you: Norton,Avg,Bitdeffender and Panda.Don't use AVAST!(in the past was a very powerful antivirus but now it's very sucks,he see u torrent and messenger like a virus:facepalm:

Are you joking? Nod32? The the sucks anti-virus.

Are you joking? Norton and AVG are crap always have been, they eat system resources like software possessed!

Microsoft Security Essentials, Sandboxie, and keep a copy of HijackThis handy.

If you need more than that, you're not using the computer correctly.

HijackThis is not anti-virus.

I like ESET and McAfee but I'm not sure which one is better

Eset hands down.

I use Eset Smart Security, MBAM (though hardly ever scan with it to be honest), SpywareBlaster (passive protection against nasty cookies) and Spybot S&D and with this setup I have not had an infection in 5+ years if not more. Internet security is more than just having anti-virus running you have to have it configured properly and a host of other things.

JGM.

NOD32 Antivirus prevent for global virus + Smadav My Local ANtivirus for prevent local virus
has been 3 year use it never got virus infected

To rate the best antivirus software for you is to find a computer with multiple viruses and use each and every antivirus software to scan for those infected... :P you know what i'm saying ;)

Agree with HostDzire,
Most of the hardcore viruses comes from the people who make antivirus software, They got the medicine + you buy their medicine + they make money = You :)
