Webpundits.in E3-1270v2/2xE5620/E5-1650, 32GB, Encode, 1/2GBIT RDP, $4(NL,FR,US,UK,DE

I have been using the service for several months now, and while it has been mostly positive there have been a few issues over the last four months that I haven't been overly pleased with.

The first incident was all my data was mysteriously erased and this was blamed on a password issue, but I know this was not the case as no one else ever had access to the RDP besides myself.

The more recent and ongoing issue is the sporadic server restarts. I had asked for prior notice of when they planned to do this and they did this once and since then have neglected to do so. Most other hosts will restart servers on a set day(s) and time(s) so it is easy to know when to halt applications that would otherwise lose data due to a forced closure. Webpundits restarts the servers whenever they see fit, which really is sloppy.

Other times there are people on the uploading server that I am placed on that far exceed what they should be doing and using up 100% of the CPU, but no one seems to be around when this is brought up so I've stopped wasting my time reporting it.

I am not saying to not use the service, but I am informing some who might want a more stable or scheduled server restart pattern to perhaps seek out another provider.

I'd happily change my stance on this is Webpundits support would either go to a scheduled server restart as I have suggested numerous times now, or if they give prior warning and actually stick to the time they say (last time I actually had to ask about it 90 minutes after the restart was supposed to happen).

I've been using my encoder slot for more than a year, and im very happy with it.
First of all they have the best support I've received from any rdp, ever. Great friendly and instant support on Skype.
Speed is good, and for over a year, they had very few tech issues, which is awesome, compared to other providers.

I hope you guys stay in the business for a very long time. Keep up the good work. :)

Well, Baldrick, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and try to reciprocate to your query!

1 - CPU staying around 100% doesn't affect uploading process whatsoever, it's high PHYSICAL MEMORY usage which causes the lag in uploading and raring and copy/pasting the files!

2 - About restarts, you won't believe there was times, when the server hadn't rebooted like once in 2 - 3 months, but due to imbecile users who hog the server's PHYSICAL memory, sometimes, some of the applications fails to start/load. At that very moment, one don't left w/ any other option, but to restart. Believe it or not, when nothing goes your way, just sit back and reboot. I mean, humans also work that way! I know, the place you're coming from, uncertain, out of blue reboots are pain in the arse. So, I hope, that the people who hog the server should been reported, So, the crisis can be averted!

On the other hand, I don't know, Baldrick, you're on what IP ( don't mention your IP here), but things are okay w/ my RDPs and wish the things will be awesome w/ you, if not already!

For Webpundits - Thanks mate, for all you do! Couldn't have done it without you! As I always say, one thing that makes you stand out from others, that you actually listen and work to please your customers and I'm not sugarcoating, I wouldn't have it any other way! Even in the times of Client Area not working you worked your ass off and provided support via Skype.

Thanks for being in business!

It's been a few days and after speaking with support over Skype (I do agree support is very approachable and usually quick to respond to most issues - I have previously mentioned this in other posts) my stance has "happily changed".

After some maintenance was done last night by the data center support was quick to inform me of what was going on, when the service was connectable about and when there was some FTP issues he promptly put in a ticket with the data center and roughly an hour the problem was resolved.

Support also made a suggestion that all users on at least one of the servers to have each user once a week logout of their account just to keep the performance of the server in check.

Prior to using Webpundits I used a few other providers and they all had some shortcomings that Webpundits don't have. Support was slow with them, cost for lesser service was higher, they were running pirated server software that caused issues, etc.

I suppose I allowed my frustration to help jump the gun with my last post.

I agree with most of what you said. It seems that a user or users on the server I am on do hog the server doing who knows what. Reporting the problem will be the way to go moving forward. Random restarts do indeed suck, but I can deal with a scheduled one. Previous providers had set in stone restarts. One provider did it ever 3 days, which I could never quite understand.

At any rate webmasterz was quick to address the issues with me and everything is hunky dory as they'd say. Frustration can get the better of us at times especially when it comes to technology, heh! I didn't intend to make it sound as though using this provider was a bad idea, although perhaps I didn't do a great job to clarify that.

At any rate all is well.

Pretty much satisfied about the service and support. One thing nags me though, the restarts. It hinders my seeding and I have to check every time on IPT to see if my torrents are seeding or not. Maybe a email messaging service should be initiated.

Thanks for your reviews mate.

To Other RDP providers a note: We are being targeted/hacking attempts on our website and hacker is also using our main e-mail ID as email spoofing by registering to other RDP providers network to look like as we are registering and then trying to send DDOS on our network. We are to note here that we are not in such doing and kindly take actions on your basis and secure your servers.
