I used them for about two months and their service was awful.

The server was constantly down (like 65% up time when they guarantee 99%), the support tickets were replied to within 24 hours which was good, but I had to send way too many support tickets for my liking... SMTP Errors, HTTP Errors, and Database Errors were some I encountered. Also every time I submitted to katz my site was down and nearly got blacklisted.

They specialize in rapidleech/torrent scripts which is hard to believe because their download speed was 1000kb/s where as my friends is 6000 (dunno where he is hosted)... Anyway I just wouldn't recommend using them unless you want your site to fail hard and get fucked up the ass. :zthir6:

Oh and one more thing, somebody rooted their server and attacked another site that was hosted with them. That was really when I decided I was moving to a different host.

I am now hosted @ piratehost.net and their uptime/service so far is awesome.

Sorry to bump an old topic but is better than open an new for same.

Biohost is an sh*et.
After paid the second month my acc remains suspended and even after open an ticket an discuss that whit them the acc remains locked.
Resuming i paid for nothing. that is an FRAUD

Of course that acc is now deleted.
 
Cute because the last guy here's site was past due our old 14 days overdue your gone rule (which is no longer in place, now if you don't pay within a month we contact you and ask if your going to renew, if not we'll remove the account) and we did offer you a refund. To the top post, Our servers for hosting/seedboxes have NEVER been hacked what so ever, our VPS which hosted the main site was attacked once when our status2k was the home for the admin bug which no longer exists. You claim we have terrible uptime,
http://www.biohost.info/status/ (Hazard is the hosting server you would of been on) which was down last time because of a ecatel power outage which lasted about a whole five minutes, and our other servers are doing all pretty well, but you claimed hosting services had downtime daily which is nothing but a lie, also your claim that the server speed was 1000kb/s is wrong as well, I don't know what sites you dealt with but they must have been staggered with a terrible uplink speed. Anyways, nearing our 3rd year in business and bumping an old topic is always fun but I just wanted to prove a couple points as this was sorta annoying getting asked if this thread is true in support tickets over and over again. Good day.

This is the best Seedbox that i ever use. I usually get around 60MB Download and 40MB upload with a fresh torrent and get around 8-20MB Upload on Late torrent which i found really amazing. I have use many seedbox before but none can beat this one. Also they got top class Support as i need VPN install in the seedbox they done it within 8Hours! How amazing is that :) So if you are worry about them, i can assure you that they have change now and they are Better than Ever!:D
 
Sorry for necroposting here but I can't make a new thread and I want to warn people NOT to use BioHost for Seedboxes.

At first I did read some bad reviews on BioHost, but since their webhosting started at 2 bucks, I decided to use them for hosting and see how that goes.
I had a majority up time and it was a very fast service.
I was satisfied with BioHost enough to want to try their Seedboxes. So I ordered the RU torrent Firebox which was around 15 dollars a month.
To my surprise the Firebox was stuck in the pending stage for a few days, so I opened a ticket to ask what was going on.
A few days later I still did not have any response, so I opened a Paypal dispute to which they answered that they were moving servers and I had to wait till the following tuesday when they would be ready, BioHost even promised a week of credit because of the wait, which is surely attractive. So I waited and it was still pending, and when I asked what the status they said it would be 12-24 hours.

Within 24 hours I recieved an email providing the login information for the Seedbox. But when I tried logging in, I was only redirected back to a login screen. I probably tried a dozen times before I opened another ticket. But unfortunately there was no answer. So I tried the PayPal dispute again, and waited.

Now to today. I received an email stating that my dispute was closed because it wasn't a physical item, and then a couple of hours later I got an email saying my BioHost hosting and seedbox was terminated for "Refusing to close the open dispute you had with us when we had asked you several times to do so. If you want your service back give them a call and tell them we setup your account and you refused to close the dispute."

First of all I didn't receive any such email, letter, etc telling me to close the dispute. And I still was not able to login to the seedbox at all.

Then Mike tells me to "Go try and scam someone else. Your email address is also being shitlisted as a frauder/scammer so don't be offended if you cannot purchase service elsewhere."

And this is after I wasn't able to get any access into my account, and after I opened a ticket that remained unanswered for days. Mike claimed that there were logs that said I logged in, but the truth remains that I was not able to log in whether through WebUI or FTP.

I recommend you take your money somewhere else if you want better, faster service.

Edit: I don't think that BioHost is a complete scam. But when a problem arises, you will have a headache trying to deal with customer support because of unanswered tickets and misunderstandings.

I'm pretty sure BioHost is going to comment on here stating that I was lying to paypal for a free seedbox, but I honestly think he thinks that I am lying because of the lack of established communication we had, especially from what I said about the unanswered tickets.

@ Meganova, yes there was a delay and you had opened a dispute. The service was delivered (Will provide email logs) and we asked you more then once to close the dispute, which you would not do. When paypal contacted you, you did lie and say you never received both hosting and seedbox service which was a lie since your hosting was setup instantly. What really bugs me here is, we refunded you via paypal, and you still tried to get more money out of us when we told you to look at the transactions you had with us and they had been already refunded.

If anyone would like to see email logs I will surely post them as I have nothing to hide.
 
I opened the ticket when my first ticket about the seedbox pending was unanswered for DAYS, and You DID NOT reply until AFTER I opened the paypal dispute. Honestly I can care less now since there are better services out there. Yes, I got the details for the seedbox, but I couldn't log in at all, the login box would just reopen for me to enter my details again, over and over. On top of that I still did not receive those emails you said to have sent me about closing the dispute.

If anything, I had an unanswered ticket regarding the seedbox problem that you could've told me to close the dispute on, but it remained unanswered and I had no warning before the termination about that.
 
I don't know why you would continue to lie, I myself asked you in the support ticket to close the dispute and you ignored it, yet you did load several pornographic torrents to the seedbox, I'll spare the others what type of genre it was but you sir are very sick minded.
 
OP - Has 24 hours to provider proof that he was scammed

- Anyone else claiming BioHost is scammed they've 24 hours to provide proof to.

Hosting Provider - Has 24 hours to either provider proof that he has legitimate cause to terminated user besides terminating them for opening a dispute.

We sent you the details twice, once with our old email template, and once with the new. In the "Biohost termination email" We warn you once again you have twenty-four hours to close the dispute which you failed to do.

Also, you had opened the dispute the same day you used the seedbox.

I only spoke to BioHost via 4 tickets, no emails or anything else...just these tickets and the paypal dispute. Also read to see there is no mention about closing the paypal dispute until AFTER my account is terminated.

looks like pretty good proof to me meganova
i had them for a month and the hosting was bugged out error messages left and right opened 4 support tickets and never heard back from them ever. kind of same thing you went through but i got the server it just never worked
 
Mind sending me the email address linked to your account?

And if the errors where about memory restrictions there is only so much people would allow on a shared server.
