Facethewind: Thank you so much for your help and time !!! Much appreciated.
I think I do understand quite well what you are saying. About not going big - I meant that with no experience in website field, I would give myself a month or two to take a look and learn all the necessity. After I will know the system well enough - than I might be able to do better
So lets say I would have 12 extra dollars per month to spent - does that mean that I can choose domain on my own that would reflect the theme of my site? And where would you suggest to buy and pay for that domain / hosting ? Are these two separate things?
Also the last thing that I dont understand is the annonymous bitcoin payments and paying for website? Why is that necessary? Is it because people from sites one would post would threaten you? Is that really valuable threat in xxx posting world? Never really happent to me...
Thank you
Yea man, when I first started out, I didn't know shit. But wordpress is easy enough and you will quickly learn all the tricks as you try to improve your site. My 1st site ever took me 2 months to build. It first started with only 50~100 unique visits a day.
Selling 1-5 premiums a week. But after 5 months, it grew to 2500 unique visits a day. On some good days, I have more than 5000 unique visits. And all this was from just SEO and promoting my site on all kinds of social networking sites.
I don't wanna say how many premium accounts my site sells everyday, but let me just say I post on forums for fun because I have too much free time now. I only spend 1-2 hours working on my site each day.
So this is why I believe it's a waste of time to not start off right. If you take it seriously and invest time and money, you get good returns.
Domain and hosting is separate, although some companies sell them together as package.
Domain name is like wjunction.com, pornbb.org, etc. The URL of your site. It's normally $17~30 per year to register your own domain name.
Hosting is a server to host the data of your website. It can be as cheap as $5 per month but I would rather pay a bit more for a reliable, offshore hosting because when your site goes down = you lose money.
Regarding anonymity, it really depends on the content you plan to post on your website and where you live. If you live in some 3rd world country, you don't need to give a fuck about copyright.
If you are going to post non-copyrighted stuff, then you don't need to care about being anonymous either.
Otherwise, I think you should try to be safe. You might not notice it if you just post on forums because all the threats and copyright notices go to the forum owner, but if you have your own site, and if it''s ever detected
by an enforcement agency or content owner, you will get threats and letters, which will also be forwarded to your domain registrar and hosting company.
If you use offshore domain registrar and hosting, they probably won't care and keep your site alive and keep your personal information private.
I would still use anonymous payment such as bitcoin in the off chance that your domain registrar or hosting company give out your details. Laws can always change.
When your site gets big and you start making good money, you might feel paranoid about your safety because you know your site isn't 100% legit. So it's good to take precautions.
Yohost.org and Subreg.cz are pretty much bulletproof offshore domain registrars. You can register with fake info and they will almost never suspend your domain or give out your info unless you are some kind of terrorist.
For hosting, there's a lot of offshore ones. Just make sure they are genuinely offshore. They need to have their company registered and located in a safe country such as sweden, romania, russia, etc.
