Because the insurance balance is used for other purposes. During a refund or a chargeback, the payment gateway takes 100% of the user’s payment and returns it to the customer. The insurance balance consists of 10% of all payments. If we refund one payment by offsetting it from the insurance contributions of other payments, it can happen that the insurance from several payments has already been spent to compensate the refund, and one of those payments also receives a refund, which then again needs to be compensated using other insurance contributions. Therefore, if there are many refunds or an insurance event occurs and there are not enough insurance contributions to cover it — because you have been taking from this fund to cover refunds.
For refunds, the full amount is always returned — from your balance and from ours as well. There are business areas where there are few or no refunds, but filesharing, I think you know the kind of filesharing I mean, does not fall into those business areas.

Sales cannot simply vanish — if they are no longer visible, it means they were never recorded or the payment did not go through. Although forum threads can sometimes be useful, any technical fault should be submitted to support right away. Since we don’t know which specific account is affected, we are unable to check the relevant logs or conduct a proper investigation. In addition, we may need extra details, and these are often easier to gather through a direct support request. By contacting support, we can start working immediately, collect the information required, and try possible solutions with you as quickly as possible.
