like 600 Euros so far with the PSU, but I can raise my budget , I need only these parts , the best for this job , I have enough hdds

ak , please keep this thread clean

you dont need to spend a lot of money on the motherboard. you need a PSU, some HDD's, a DVD drive, a case and i think ur about set.

You also need to keep it cool if ur running havok on it 24/7. You will require a premium case with plenty of airflow and an aftermarket cooler such as the TRUE or anything similar.

PSU will be 640 wat , will cost me like 78 Euros

and I don't think there is a need of dvd drive

and the cooler part is a real issue , will try to find the best

The i7 one is good right ?

the i7 what? processor? well - thats kinda like saying "the ferrari is good, right?" well - yeah, but depends what you want it for.

The Thermalright TRUE or the Tuniq Tower are the best, but not cheap. OCZ are pretty good as well.

the cpu is i7-860 ... the mobo its count very much...i dont know from where you get this part the mobo doesnt count much :)...its like you say on a house doesnt matter how strong is the foundation...if the foundation its weak then the house will collapse...its valid for the mobo too...then why you put a good cpu on a 100$ mobo??? for that mobo its enough i3/i5 cpu max...yes its good for gaming that mobo...

My advice:

Get a socket AM3 motherboard (Gigabyte has nice ones) with a Phenom II x4 9xx CPU. And a ATi Gfx card if you're planning on playing games. You'll pay a lot less for the same performance and quality. Intel CPU's and motherboards are over priced. Same goes for nVidia Gfx.

Edit:
Never mind the video card part :p

@ghost - he's not going to overclock or require any other advanced feature, thats where i base my opinion. So why pay for them?

intel = multi tasking amd = gaming. Has always been true.

In some cases. But the Phenom II quad cores are very good at multi tasking and threading too. And cost a ton less. The only situation where an i7 would be advisable is if you have to do heavy encoding or encrypting all day. For normal general purpose use i7 is a waste of money. Not because it's bad, but because it's too expensive compared to the AMD alternatives.

I have a Phenom II x4 955 and it's hard to find anything that will stress this thing to 100% CPU usage. Except for synthetic benchmarks which are pretty useless and don't paint a realistic picture in terms of "real" use.

There's no point in conversing the good vs the bad. Not because any of you are wrong, but because everybody's opinion is not based on any hard facts.

My belief, and i have vast experience in this sector is that AMD = budget. End of story. I've tried to explain what to get, yet you choose somebody elses opinion, which is of course your choice, but what im saying is that nobody is posting any proof. All your going to get is a bunch of opinions, none of which are right or wrong, and none that hold any proof.

The best thing you can do is go to http://www.ocforums.com and read up. There is a HUUUGE amount of knowledge to be gained by doing so.

Not sure at who that reply was aimed but what I stated is correct and not random fanboy talk. I personally consider the AMD prices to be realistic. You could call it budget because Intel is more expensive but budget makes something sound like trash, which it isn't :).

Well nVidia cards or Intel parts are not overpriced.

Look at the benchmarks (CPU and graphics cards) at http://cpubenchmark.net/

You get what you pay for!

It is foolish to debate which is better, just get the part that has got a higher benchmark result. Simple :)

So, according to you if something is 5% better it's worth paying double the price for it? Great way of thinking. Especially for someone running a business. IMHO the best way to rate hardware is to look at the bang for buck value. Looking at synthetic benches tells you nothing and neither does the price.

Furthermore, if you're gonna point to a site, point to a descent one such as http://www.tomshardware.com .
