Hello HostHatch

Sometimes when i'm connected with putty and winscp (through ssh of course) my vps drops the connection only to this vps cause i have also another one with another company and i have them both connected at the same time...

Should i report it to support ?

Also the average upload speed of my vps is 100~150 mbit and download is aprox 200~250mbit most of the time is this normal ? Since its on a 2Gbit port i expected something better thats why i'm asking...

U can see yourself the tests of the upload here : http://www.wjunction.com/showthread.php?t=97609 and also some wget results :

wget cachefly.cachefly.net/100mb.test -O /dev/null

Hello,

You will have to contact support if you are facing any issues however with the information you have provided, there don't seem to be any issues, it might be a peak time and you got 20MB/s from cachefly but most of the times its over 50-60MB/s, please try multiple files as this was a single connection download which you will never get 2Gbit at.

With the thread you started, please check : http://www.wjunction.com/showpost.php?p=970289&postcount=2

This is a test from a USA server, its a single connection and the person got 30MB/s, you should know that there is a big distance between USA and Netherlands and the speeds are reasonable considering that. Please try multiple downloads/uploads and you will see better speeds.

You should also keep in mind that the server is shared between 22 other people and on the peak times, 500Mbps+ is a very good speed which you will not usually get with 1Gbit.

Please contact support and we will ask you for a few traceroutes and will solve your problem as this is not a support thread and we do not and will not be helping with technical issues here in future, please open a ticket.

Thanks!

Hi there,

We are setting up our 2Gbit Windows nodes which will be available soon. A bit more expensive then other plans but we're testing them at the moment and getting over 600MB/s disk I/O and 1700mbit+ uploading speed. :)

Thanks!

Hello,

There isn't any ETA at the moment, it can take up to 30-45 days and we also plan to provide premium 2Gbit linux semi-dedicated servers with only 8 people per node - A dedicated SAS15k (15,000 RPM) drive will come with every semi-dedicated server, best for uploading/downloading, Rar/Unrar and encoding purposes, these will be available in the next 3 days however.

SAS15k drives are over 50% better then standard SATA ones.

Thanks!

You guys are Gods. :P
Btw, Abdullah, if you're reading this, let me have the Win VPS so I can review it.

Kelvin, I respond to your email in a few hours. :)

Thanks for the kind words, Kundu! :)

I will ask Abdullah to see about the Windows VPS - he's sick so he isn't available on Live chat but I guess he'll be available again on Gmail/Live chat again in 2-3 days when he gets fine.

I will be waiting for your reply. :)

Thanks!

I have had a 2 gbit VPS with them for about three days now and it's absolutely amazing. I only suffered downtime once for six minutes which is basically nothing. I'm very happy with them and will be staying with them. :D.

Thanks for the kind words! :)

The downtime was only for an upgrade on the hostnode, we only have had 12 minutes of downtime in the whole month which is very much better then what we guarantee - 99.9% :)

Thanks!

Hi there,

I like in vps 2 Gbps... its service good & working easy steps...
we run Tor infrastructure that is used in regmines such as Libya, Bahrain, China etc. to circumvent firewalls.
