uzzlic, yes the members who shares adult(XXX), has 9-10 sales per day mostly
has own site and share adult materials or you have to be very popular.

Nobody can compare adult and games and movies

I saw lots of members posting portals sharing all everything from games to wallpapers. Of course they will earn more than mei, I only share games and blueray movies. That is all ... and I do not compare me with other people.

And I hope you are right uzzlic and problem is USA members, if not, ....
I do not want to talk about it ( Look at wars and flames at another big companie's topic)
 
There is no such thing as slow speeds for US customers - (and decreased sales).

Otherwise FileSonic support would have commented on it...

djkelaj ,when i changed plan to PPS , i decide to upload only console games, and only that i am sharing may be once a week i post a discography or a movie , but with porn i dont think that are making a lot of money, maybe i will try after 2-3 months with porn(after i finish all projects with console games)
 
uzzlic, friend I know 2 friends have their own site and not very popular
visit 3-5000 visitor his page but he arns 180-200 $ per sale from his small site
and he post his files only there and files are passworded rar files.

I was getting real low speed about 2 weeks ago as premium user....I was downloading at less than 100kbps most times. Now my speed is up in the 800-1mbps range. I thought they fixed whatever the issue was that was causing speeds to be low.

watch page 979 ....my post with screenshot , it was made a few hours ago.....1,5MB/s .....i am from Romania ....people from here is not buying so much (i had 1 sale from Romania !).The Problem is the US servers speed (from there comes a lot of sales -US and Canada-for me 80%).But my speed is sometimes between 1.5MB-2MB and sometimes 400kb (at different moments of the same day).Are u from US?
 
Just because few members got greedy as their sales went down because of introduction of new generations of uploaders to filesonic doesn't mean that filesonic should increase payout rank wise.

If it were to these few affiliates , they would want $100 per sale and $1 per download !

Its really disappointing to see some learned members also changing colors especially in last few days.

If sales for everyone is down then rank would have been same which is NOT the case. If your rank is slipping it means somebody else is smarter (or perhaps lucky too) than you.

for example , i offered

normall an elite member has 12$ per sale

if he is in top 1-10, they can give 20$ per sale till he is in this area
11-50, can be 17$ per sale and 51-100, can be 15$ per sale

if you drop the level below, your next sale will be from new value.
or this can be configured by their system ONCE a week.

And few more ideas I offered to ROME and some more protection
against LEECHERS, he liked my idea and if team accept it,
leechers will be loosers.

uzzlic, Wadibahi, problem is not sales are ok, problem is do they decreased in last 2 weeks or not, mine decrease %50-55 according to the 2 week before and %25-30 to last week.

Idea is nice, for us, uploaders. But, to really see how's you idea profitable for filesonic, you need to do a proper research.

For example, to do a research, switch on % per sold account, and make calculations per 100 sold accounts.
How much 1 month accounts you sold
How much 3 month accounts you sold
How much 6 month
How much 1 year
and how much lifetime

Most accounts that are sold are, I believe, the cheapest ones, 1 and 3 months.
Which gives $9 and $25 per account.
If you earn $20 per $9 sold account, filesonic is -12$ good (or bad)
If you earn $20 per $25 sold account, filesonic is $5 good
So, for each 1 month sold account, you need to sell 3 90 days accounts, just so filesonic can cover one month accounts, and earn $3 from 4 sold accounts... that is under 1$ per account
But the real problem here is that more 1 month accounts are sold from 3 month accounts, so, Filesonic doesn't earn anything, they would loose money.

Keep in mind that they are also paying for servers, bandwidth, employees, and these are covered with 1 year and lifetime premium accounts.

Filesonic indeed offers the most you can earn with any file-host, but be real, someone made this service, so HE can make some profit too... they already have elite program...

djkelaj, you offered help here to your own competition, what did you expected? More sales? ;)

To discuss anything related to this matter, you first need to think about it, will other side profit from it. With my math, they won't, but real answer is in proper research, all my numbers are just a product of common sense, logic, and experience, which can be not objective. But I believe this is exactly the case.

They completely gave away 1 month accounts and even give you $3 on top for every sold account.

Yeah, his numbers aren't realistic, they would lose money doing it that way. The only way for them to profit with that type of system would be if they have a very high customer retention rate--meaning that once someone joins filesonic, they tend to renew their account. If that's the case you wouldn't simply be having them with a one month account at 10$ but a one month account that keeps renewing for filesonic which may make their money from that customer be 50-60$ and have to payout 20 which would net them 40-50 on the sale. That's the only possible way a system like dj's could work for fsc.
 
@ adrunkenmess File that goes across the half planet, meets other routers, cables, switches, servers, and loose it's speed on the way.
I have dedicated server in US, and every time I am trying to download something from it at home, where I have 6mbit connection, with firefox I can't get anything faster than 100kb/s

But when I drop the same file in download manager, ex. JDownloader, I get full speed of my connection. That is the advantage of having premium account, and possibility to use download managers with multiple connections per file. It's completely different, that is why it costs $ ;) Firefox establishes only 1 connection per file...

Well, this can be ONE of explanations... :)
 
Yeah, I'm now downloading at the same speed i download from megaupload and fileserve. anywhere from 800kbps to 1mbps.

lol I had several posts in this thread complaining about download speed for premium users, now I have nothing but praise for their download speed.
