no my friend sorry... it is not for sell... apart that when i discussed in the past about a collaboration with a couple of investors, they wanted to buy for a low price and wanted more than 50%... If i ever sell, it will be less than 50% so that i keep having the control over the way the site will move forward and it will be very expensive comparing to what they proposed me...

Mates,

"So far - So good."

All's well with Filemates in my world - on the other side of "The Pond".

Should I have anything to report, I shall do so forthwith.

i get this problem with dl3 as well. at first i thought the error was at my end. then when other files (non-dl3) continued to download i figured there might be a problem but by then alot more people had begun reporting it so no reason to make a fuss about it.

Its working for me as well now

Just a few questions I hope somebody can answer it.
1. Is it possible for Filemates to download a link for me onto their virtual server for example. Say a file I want to download is at link http://www.rapidabcxyz.com, can can filemates download that link onto my account for me?
2. Is it possible to say have a file that is already existing on my virtual account be broken up(split) into manageable chunks before I download it from FM?

The reason for asking these questions is that i will soon be going abroad and the country i am going is known for its hourly power outages. The internet speeds are pathetic as well. A 8Mb connection costs £47 a month (so I am going for the cheaper 4mB with 300GB FUP) which comes to around £13) when converted from the local currency. For £47 you can get BT Infinity 2 (75Mb unlimited) in the UK (& no power outages). The thing is if I am downloading a large 1.36Gb file from FM if the electricity goes (which it will after every hour) I lose what I downloaded as my back main IP address changes (no static address in that lame overpriced connection) and have to start again. If there was a way I could get filemates to download the large files for me then split them into 200mB chunks I would pay for that service (reasonable price)

Currently everyone ends up being dependent on torrents for everything as at least you do not lose what you have already downloaded

(There is a business opportunity there if you read between the lines)

- you can remote upload a file from another filehost to your FM account (if the other host allows it). Keep in mind that you will need a premium account with the other host too, so in fact, this makes not much sense ;)

- no need to split files (and it's not possible anyway), if you have FM premium, your download will resume even with another IP and after a break of several days. Use a downloadmanager
