For my experience : RUN AWAY !

Always limits to force your downloaders to buy premium. Low rate.

But the worst is they had banned me whereas NO reason : no dmca file !

I just tested the FF service and my users so hated FF so I decided to remove all my files and asked for payment.

And they banned me and never paid me.

When I tried to contact them they never answered and deleted my thread as "flood".

Fucking theif they are.

When you are banning by DF it is always because of dmca ... but if not dmca they paid you even if your money only comes from referral ... But FileFactory are robbery so they don't pay your earning if you want to leave them ...

such a sad and bad experience on your side.

well for me, im always getting paid.

Me too. Never had a problem with payments. And, as a matter of fact, they DO answer when you contact them: FileFactory support center is probably one the best out there. Every time I wrote to them I got a response within 24 hours. Every single time.

Earning rates are a bit lower compared to other filehosts, that's true, but I do prefer a reliable and stable service which pays me right instead of hitching my wagon and my files to one of the many high-earning-scam-sites that are popping up (and then suddenly closing) every other day.

Filefactory has been around for a long time (since 2005), they are a Dutch company, their servers are located in the Netherlands and they appear to be in the best shape moving forward.

Almost all filehosts are going through server maintenance and server upgrades, right now. This is mainly because of the fallout from the other large filehosts collapsing and their customers scattering around. Most of these server issues will soon be a thing of the past, as darwinian selection (and the market) will sort out the best and most reliable filehosts and will kill or absorb the smaller ones.
I don't know when this will happen, and when we will reach a sort of new equilibrium among 5-6 big players, but in the meantime I am sticking with Filefactory.

if you compared all of these hosters, FF would be the best of the best. Most of the rest are "fly by night" businesses that will just eventually take the money and run.

When MU died several other sites just closed down without warning and FF kept keeping on with no plans to slow down.

Stable, I think just a few days downtime compared to other sites that are down seems sometimes for days.

FF never made me do a survey.

Last month they gave every premium user a free month's premium extension because yes they had some issues for a few months adjusting the wake of MU passing.

Payments are on time.

If you want to whine about them, FINE more bandwidth for me. I do not want all your files clogging up my super speeds that I get from FF, so please do not use this great host.

If you want a host that takes 40 minutes to remote upload a 700 mb file, FF is not for you (takes about 4 min).

^Practically every host has such a rule, but most are unwritten, at least FF has put up that page for everyone to see and know that real "Unlimited" doesn't exist.

i see on the site that free users only allowed 500gb

do premium users have unlimited storage? also can we upgrade accounts using our balance?

hmm

they allow
asian files ?!

like korean drama / jap drama and anime ?!

i don`t care if they pay for me or no i just wana save my files and my works

and files like 1TB to 30TB

like 100GB per month

and they still have lifetime accounts ??

and if yes plz tell me what the price if no what time limit they have like 2 or 3 years !!?

and thanks

in theory you should be just fine
but that's a lot of space to use up
if your not generating more then the $10 a month that you pay them
they may well find some excuse to get rid of you
probably not but the point of a backup is to be 100% sure

if your not going to be posting there links for download
I think you should contact them about your plans before uploading
personally id go with RS for backup
they are so massive it's unlikely they would care
though there are people somehow scanning there servers and posting for download
I have thousands of backup files just numbers for names
and still they get downloaded somehow

hmm but i don`t have the much guys to download from my links to get 10$ in month

in my free account 2$ in 1 years :s

and rs is so expensive :((

They are not good for backups. You will find that a lot of your files are corrupted or inaccessible. Megaupload was great in that respect. Also what they say or write does not matter, it is how they react and act over time that matters. I have had entire directories of files get deleted from many accounts both free and premium. I cant imagine that they would get deletion notices on a couple of hundred files since I used to get like 1 or 2 deletions a month for years before. I know a few searchers that scan them and copy what ever you have in your directory even if you never publish the links they post it in the search engines for download. There is no way to prevent access to your files. Much harder to do that with RS since need a matching MD5 or link so almost impossible.

Since filenames can be changed on the fly I could just take a any link and add any filename I want and post a link.. So you can also just put in a number for files you upload but when you post the link you can change the number to the file name..

eg
http://www.filefactory.com/file/2f67sgjyhlnh/n/50.txt

just change the 50.txt to anyolefilename.bin

This gets rid of the searchers but dont help with mass deletions..

They had 2TB storage space for members.. So I would think that when you get over 4TB they will get nervous.. I am sure if you dont bring them any revenue on the files then even 2TB would be too much in the fair usage policy.. Although even uploading 2 TB would be considered an impossible job considering all the technical problems.
