Revenue Sources
We currently have two main revenue sources, advertising revenue and product sales.
We anticipate that on-going the site will generate increasing revenue and profit each month as more users and more affiliates join the program every day.
Sales revenue for the first two days was over $200 dollars. Unfortunately we did not get pre-approved by PayPal and are unable to use the service until we do so. This can easily be resolved by implementing one of the many payment methods already built into the script or using any other for that matter. We have the contacts to provide to the new owner including multiple alternatives should you opt not to use PayPal. Due to our extensive experience with these types of websites we believe that you should be earning around $400+ per day from Premium sales when you implement a payment method.
Advertising revenue for July is anticipated to be over $12,000. We are already at $2,500 at the time of this auction after 5 days of running the site. Each day should be in excess of $500 per day and could be even higher if you try other ad networks or move the ads around. When implementing advertising we only added banners to three pages on the site and with minimal impact. These banners were from only one ad network. We believe that someone with more time could test and improve on the ad placements and possibly even implement an ad network within the website to generate even more money with very little effort.
Key On-Going Expenses
Server Costs - We built this website to handle the large number of uploaders and downloaders. We currently have 4 servers (1 Web Server and 3 File Servers) and are looking to implement even more. More servers mean more capacity for users to add thousands of new files daily and in turn increase your ad revenue and premium sales.
The current server cost on-going is only USD$2200 per month. The servers are currently at 10 percent used and due to the time limit of files you could operate this site without adding any more servers. More servers however mean more capacity so keep this in mind when you want to make the site bigger.
We have a direct access to an account manager with the hosting provider, they will deliver custom deals for us and will continue to for the new owners of the site.
We can also transition the hosting account to the new owner, helping to provide a smooth transition for the new owner and ensuring all services stay online.
Affiliate Payments - although an expense, the site is geared so that you are paying users with money earned, it is usually much less than half of what was generated by the affiliate. (eg. Affiliate earns $10, site received nearly $40 from ad revenue and sales). In February FileDefend affiliates have only earned just over $900 in the first few days. (Revenue for the site will be in excess of $13,000 for just Adrevenue.. so with sales you will be so far in front you can offer affiliates even more money (or simply keep the profits to grow the site further!))

We are a team of two of people with full time jobs as well as a range of other websites and Internet marketing ventures. This site has exploded to a size that really requires a full time individual or team to take it to the next level.
