Nothing wrong If they uploading for money but they should not punish their Site visitor by deleting file & giving them dead link.people will hate this and more hate to your site.

I don't say is something wrong to upload for money, but all they have done from the beggining was to throw tons of cash to the spammers and cash w#%hores who came here, they didin't keept a community together, they didin't offered good services, they offered only money, and the most part of the users here wanted only money from wupload.
What they did to wupload some of them would do it to they own mother, so ..is kind like they killed themselfs with this policy.
When you surrounding with people that only want money, be sure they will spit in your face and forget about you the minute your stop giving a penny.
Thats why i find ridiculous to come here and diss people who announce that they will delete every single file, and to diss those who don't care how much money wupload paid them or how much willy losed and they must support him somehow.
Anyway, no uploader would extend his premium now and with wupload 30 days stupid ( yes, stupid)
rule for files uploaded by free users by the end of the january 80% of the file links would be dead anyway.
As i explained here wupload done harm to serious users and feed the cash whore$.
They maybe have good intentions but they don't have the ball$ to become a serious filehost who work with serious people.
I cannot cry here for them, i'm sorry but thats all..Sadly. Nobody here seems to be sorry for the many people who paid for premium accounts for nothing, because they will become useles very soon.

After an incredible period of growth in such a short period of time, we have had to make the tough decision to close our affiliate program as it is no longer financially viable for us to continue it.

Wupload's file hosting service will remain active and technical support will still be provided as per usual, and our customer support system will remain active for any inquiries by members, whether free or paid. We encourage all users and affiliates to continue to use Wupload to store and share their files, and we will remain one of the most reliable and secure storage solutions in the business. We will honour all memberships that were already purchased by affiliates or by regular users.

Thanks to the loyalty and the hard work of all of our friends and affiliates, we were able to surpass our growth expectations in terms of traffic, but as anybody in the file hosting business can tell you, traffic does not always mean profitability.

Now, where does this leave you, the hardworking affiliate with unpaid earnings?

We are going to pay out every dollar owed to our affiliates. The affiliate program will close on November 28th, a Sunday, and the last payout will be November 30th, the following Wednesday.

Willy why not...

1.reduce payouts across the board by 30%

2. impose limits on account holders with regard downloads maybe 150-200gig max per month only people who really abuse need more. If they want 500gig per month its double the monthly fees.

3. stop all remote outbound transfers to everyone except filesonic

4. impose limits on RU to 50 gig per day per account?

5. cut in half the referal income so down to 5%

6. basically find a way to stop all the abuse of your system and you will be rolling in profits, i see such waste with 1000's of huge files only getting perhaps 1 or 2 hits in total on some forums. If a file is not downloaded more than 50 times per month and is 500meg -1 gig in size it should auto delete.

wupload will die off rather quickly if you cut off the affil prog which would be a shame, there must be a lot of value in this company as it is. Maybe add some advertising revenue?

If it is rather some other reason aside from financial then okay.


wupload has been a money machine for a lot of people so even if it does close down i wish you well in the next venture, some of the bonuses and promos you have run have been awesome thanks for those and never missing a payment. Also you have taken a lot of personal flack on here and never lost your cool, not sure many people could handle that.

I will not be deleting my files that are live now since i am confident you will find a way to come back with a great affiliate scheme that is very profitable. Traffic is king today on the net and you have that don't let that slide away. Make your company profitable.

Wupload's decision will hurt downloaders more than uploaders. Uploaders will jump ship to another filehost while downloaders who paid for 1 or 2 year accounts will be left in the dust and soon have nothing to download. What a waste!

Wupload should just shutdown the site and refund everyone's money. Let's face it, Wupload is no Rapidshare in terms of infrastructure, longevity and reputation that we can expect uploaders to keep uploading to it for free.

The MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) has submitted a new list of “notorious websites” to the Office of the US Trade Representative, sites that are all in danger of becoming the target of planned U.S. legislation. The list contains the most-visited torrent sites including The Pirate Bay, file-hosting and linking sites such as MegaUpload, and Russia’s Facebook equivalent, VKontakte. Interestingly, file-hosting service RapidShare is absent from the filing.
In a response to a request from the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR), the MPAA has submitted a new list of “notorious markets” they say promote illegal distribution of movies and TV-shows.
The filing is particularly interesting since U.S. lawmakers have this week introduced a bill in the House that aims to neutralize these sites. The MPAA has been one of the most vocal proponents of the bill and the group is expected to call for action against the websites when it passes.
“The rogue overseas marketplaces highlighted in today’s filing are a direct threat to our community and the millions of hard-working Americans that rely on it for their livelihoods,” the MPAA writes in a statement.
“The MPAA commends and greatly appreciates the USTR’s recognition of the damage inflicted by these illicit markets on US global competitiveness and we applaud their work to protect American jobs.”
In their filing the MPAA lists a variety of websites, which they have organized in various categories. In addition to the location where the sites in question are hosted, the MPAA has also provided a short description for each of the sites.
Torrent and P2P Sites

The MPAA’s first category includes all the major torrent sites, which the group claims are facilitating mass copyright infringement. Also in this list is the Chinese BitTorrent-based application Xunlei, which is partly owned by Google.

File-hosting and streaming sites

“This result stems from the combination of site specific user upload and search functionality – including torrent functionality – designed to facilitate easy hosting and access to popular media files, together with the lack of any affirmative efforts by the sites’ operators to prevent copyright infringement,” they write.

Newsgroups

The MPAA concludes their list of rogue websites with Usenet, but lists only one provider.
“This worldwide collection of servers is known as the Usenet, a high-speed direct download service offering access to a searchable global file exchange network. Today, illegal copies of movies and television shows are commonly posted in newsgroups for download by users around the world,” they write in their filing.

One notable absentee from the list is RapidShare. The file-hosting service was included in the MPAA submission last year but was left out this time, although nothing has changed in its business setup. This could be a strategic decision as RapidShare itself has hired lobbyists to represent their interest in Washington recently.
The problem with the MPAA’s submission is that it’s not clear what distinguishes a “rogue” from a legitimate site. Until there are distinct and quantifiable characteristics this means that thousands of sites could fall under this label, and have their businesses ruined if the U.S. Government decides to intervene.
TorrentFreak asked the MPAA whether they could give a clear description of a rogue site, but they chose not to reply. The sites above can only hope that judges will see through the MPAA’s subjective definition when they have to review a domain seizure request or ISP blockade in the future.

Do you really want to help the "poor" Willy? Here's how you should help.

Look, he's not gonna pay uploaders anymore, so a lot of uploaders (at least the smart ones) won't work for him anymore. Without those uploaders, there won't be a lot of new files posted, so Wupload won't sell as many premium accounts as it is doing now.

That would mean less income for the "poor" Willy but he has to maintain the same number of servers that he has now meaning he's going to lose even more money! Keeping our files in those servers isn't going to help him. Those files will make him lose even more money!

Let's DELETE ALL OUR FILES so he won't need all that many servers to pay for.
