Hi,

Storage is not the issue here . You will need large CPU resource to load scanned comics image for everytime each user use it .

If there is huge traffic . Then it will easily load the the VPS .

My suggestion is that you atleast go with Core2Duo Server or Basic Quadcore server for it .

With lighttpd+php-fastcgi I think CPU problem is solved, however the Disk I/O would be a nightmare.
