Would a first-name .COM help a web project look more serious?

Evan.com was reportedly sold for $400,000 on July 22.

A first-name .com is not a keyword domain, but it can feel clean, short, and brandable.

For web projects or creator-led platforms, would this type of domain help trust, or is the price only meaningful to domain investors?
