Windows Update ?

Hello,

I recently bought a new computer a week ago, and installed Windows 7 Ultimate. so basically windows started updating it's self, which slowed down my internet speed connection, my question, "is it possible to update windows manually ?

Turn the automatic updates off .

Thanks Mr-R-T. But how do I update windows manually ? do I have to go to Microsoft website ? Is there a certain way to update my windows ?

It's right next to it mate "check for updates"

Click it, it will check for the new stuff, then hit install.

Remember that SP1 was recently released... I don't know how significant the update is but I did it anyway :P

Pretty sure there's some security stuff patched up in it.

i updated my laptop to SP1 a few weeks ago... been lazy to update my desktop.. but i can tell theres several differences. just you dont really recognize them... well at least i dont recognize them any more... just makes the OS more stable.
