As part of an effort to strengthen customer relationships and narrow our development focus we are discontinuing the Distributor program.
The WHMCS Distributor Program allowed software distributors to offer WHMCS licenses to the general public at discounted prices. As of today, this will no longer be permitted meaning that all WHMCS licenses must be purchased directly from us. This does not affect the reseller program, so you may still find WHMCS licenses bundled with other products/services from third parties, but no legitimate websites other than whmcs.com will be offering WHMCS licenses for sale on a standalone basis.
Eliminating the discounts that distributors were being given, that allowed some users to benefit from the same product at a cheaper price, allows us to invest more into the product development which you will see reflected in the more frequent software releases which we committed to earlier this month alongside the release of our latest update, additional staff and many other goals that we have set ourselves for 2013 & 2014.
If you currently lease a monthly WHMCS License through a Distributor, you will need to cancel your license and move this to WHMCS directly on or before May 1st, 2013. Your distributor should communicate to you with further information on how to go about this. We have also provided all distributors with discount codes to smooth the transition.
If you have purchased an Owned License from a distributor then this will continue unaffected and you don't need to take any action.
All distributors have been fully informed and should be able to provide specific advice on a case by case basis, and our team are also standing by to answer any questions you might have.
Thank you,
