Which VPS company is best & cheap for warez and streaming?

I am just getting started with PPD & Streaming websites, so I'd like to hear some advice from the community regarding the performance and speeds from different VPS providers.

Anyone run a benchmark comparison test between different VPS host providers, and if so, which one did you find the most suitable for warez? In terms of download speeds, monthly pricepoint, availability and uptime reliability etc. I'm currently trialing multiple small-scale hosting providers although the biggest problem so far is to choose the right one that enables criteria fullfillment like ie, not spending more than $50-$100 each month and making back a few dollars extra once all additional costs have been calculated. Curious to also know whether Linux vs Windows is a better solution at least feature wise for the long term.

I've also heard that this is all doable through Cloud Hosting similar to Google Cloud but I don't have experience with that, and I'd rather stick with managed virtualization services. Please let us know from your current business operations what you're using and whether it's been the best choice or you're stuck because transferring is too costly & otherwise amounts to additional fees, even though there will be savings later on.

If you're just getting started with streaming sites, I’d recommend keeping the infrastructure simple at first rather than spending heavily on a dedicated server or overcomplicating the setup.

For a WordPress-based movie/series site, Linux is generally the better choice. Ubuntu + Nginx + PHP-FPM + MySQL is a solid and cost-effective stack, especially if your main concern is keeping monthly costs around $50–$100.

One important thing, though: for streaming, the VPS itself doesn't necessarily need to handle all of your video traffic. Using object storage/CDN for the actual video delivery can make a huge difference. Your VPS can handle WordPress, database, APIs and site logic while the storage/CDN handles the heavy video traffic.

For a small starting project, I'd focus on:

• Good network connectivity and consistent throughput
• Reliable uptime
• NVMe storage
• Enough RAM/CPU for your website and database
• Proper Nginx/PHP-FPM configuration
• Cloudflare/CDN in front of the infrastructure
• Separate video storage if the library starts growing

I'd also avoid choosing a provider purely based on the advertised port speed. Real-world routing, network congestion and the location of your users can matter much more.

We've built and currently operate WordPress-based movie/series streaming infrastructure using Linux, Nginx, Cloudflare/R2 storage, HLS streaming and automated Telegram-based processing. So we've gone through a lot of the same infrastructure decisions.

If you want, feel free to PM me with your expected traffic, number of videos and target user locations. I can give you some practical recommendations based on that rather than simply recommending a random VPS provider.
