Which messenger do you use ?

I use Skype and nimbuzz messenger to talk and message online... Previously I used yahoo messanger but now, I have have got many facilities in skype so it's my favorite messenger .

Pidgin + Off-The-Record Plugin is the best solution for instant messaging, IMHO. Instead of the ICQ-protocol I would prefer the XMPP-protocol.

IRC still is the best cross-platform instant messenger that I know of or seen. Specifically it allows private messaging in addition to customizable chat rooms.

Only catch is that it has a slight learning curve, and I've been using it since 1993 or so therefore I often forget about the initial learning curve with IRC...
