Which control panel is best? Plesk & cPanel

cPanel — super popular, plugin-heavy, and great for WordPress or beginner-friendly setups. Plesk’s more modern, dev-focused, and smoother for Windows or hybrid environments, plus it’s got built-in tools like Docker and Git. If you’re doing mainstream hosting, cPanel’s your safe bet. If you’re more tech-savvy or need advanced features, Plesk’s the way to go. What’s your stack?

Hi.
Plesk is good for both private and corporate use (supports Windows and Linux OS) and is cheaper, especially if you compare it by limiting the number of users allowed. However, cPanel has more balanced tariff plans and, of course, more functionality - that is, even the lower tariffs are ready for professional use, which is why this panel is more in demand. I mean the price of a cPanel tariff plan mainly depends on the number of allowed accounts, and not on the reduction of key functionality.

Here are the key advantages of cPanel over Plesk:
1. Wider Adoption & Familiarity
- cPanel is more widely used, especially in shared hosting environments.
- Easier to find tutorials, documentation, and community support.
2. Linux Focused
- While Plesk supports both Linux and Windows, cPanel is Linux-only but optimized for it (typically on CentOS, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux).
- This makes cPanel simpler and more streamlined for typical LAMP/LEMP stacks.
Hope this info will help when choose the right control panel for your needs.

cPanel is the preferred control panel which is widely used however due to their recent drastic price increases when it comes to their licenses people are shifting away from cPanel. No one knows when their prices will once again increase but it is bound to go up again in the future.

If you're looking for flexibility and want Windows support, Plesk could be the way to go. But if you're only using Linux and want a lot of community backing, cPanel is still the top choice.

Plesk: Includes built-in security tools like fail2ban, intrusion prevention systems, and password-protected directories. cPanel: Offers robust security features, such as SpamAssassin, SSL support, and IP address blocking. Depends on your personal choice.

cpanel supports linux os only, plesk supports both Linux and Windows
if linux OS we recommend Cpanel is best because Performance, managing multiple sites and Advanced features for mail, DNS, FTP, backups.
