I own a warez site I've only been open since sept 08 and settled with decent host about march this year.
I subbed to katz got listed after a while i asked to be re-rated and got 2 stars i was pleased with that and read on the forum how to get re-rated for the second time I read that I could email again in a month also read improvements must be made ..so I read up on the best practices rules and looked at 4 and 5 star sites and tried to improve my site
changes I made was a new skin new post icon marked with dl type e.g. app, game etc. put katz network button in memberbar as well as the normal button in footer worked my nut off to get title rules right and no ads everything i could think of ..
i emailed katz and asked for a re-rating and was told its only been a month since my last rating? I replied and said i thought that was the length time to wait. then got one saying well it says you may not get a rating anyway?
I could understand that if there was not change but I've worked my nuts off to get another star... 2 stars is below average 3 stars is average my site at least deserves that?
with respect, it seemed if there staff member couldn't be bothered thats it
I'm sure it was not that but I know sites that are not 4 star but are 4 star rated and the stars flew on that site...
has anyone got an idea what i can do .. I would put the url in here but not sure if I'm allowed.

You are allowed to post the URL of your site on here, go to your profile and fill out the "website's" option that will allow you to display your site every time you post. You may think you deserve that all exclusive 3* but in there eyes you don't and there the ones who know how to rate sites as they have been doing it for years. Take it from me keep submitting quality downloads and making improvements, don't look at other sites just focus on your own website and the time will come when your site's downloads are on the front page.

ok thank you for your help the two of you ...I asked politely for constructive criticism it now obvious the answers I've had from CrucifynDi3, Curtis129 are from children or the little hard men sitting behind a screen given the 'nothing will happen to me so I'm bad' routine.

They're answers were 100% correct, don't fake stats to make your site look better. It's about quality, not quantity. Spam, corruption, bullshit, and a bunch of links aren't what katz is looking for. They're looking for top notch sites run by people doing their jobs right. So learn to accept some criticism. Afterall, criticism can be negative and painful to face. So be patient and MAYBE your site will get there.

Well you first need to set a goal for yourself then you need to believe you can reach that goal, when I first started I was saying 'Yep my site is going to be 5*' and they all rofl'd at me... People ddos'd me several times and lots of people hated me - still do

anyway yeah you've just got to keep the site open, katz dont want someone who goes 'my site doesn't make as much as warezscenes in the first month of opening im going to close it now'

they want persistant good sites
