I'm very happy with the service and recomend for any others users.![]()
I am using it for a week now. Everything was good same as first day. Untill today. When I checked my rdp today, it is like they formatted C drive or something, all my torrent files, newsbin profile was gone. Sİnce files themselves was on my own drive there is no data lost, but because of formatting C or what the heck they did, all my torrents disappeared and stopped seeding. For this reason now I have warnings in 3 major torrent site I am using, and I lost my uploader rights on 1.
I am hoping this will not repeat again. No need to open a ticket or anything, since you will not be able to give me back what you cost me, but please give heads up at least a few hours before you screw with my account.
I really recommend you to get a proper seedbox instead of a windows RDP because seedboxes are just more stable and you get much better torrent speeds.
The seedboxes I use hasn't had a reboot for months while all windows RDP seems like to require reboot now and then.
Also, would like to report that the 168 is down again...
Could be the raid array again.
I suggest NOT to use raid and just have the HDD separated. This way if one HDD dies, you can just replace it and only the users who happen to share that particular drive will lose their data.
Using RAID will risk that everybody's data goes down the toilet.
There is also not that much of a speed gain from RAID because since everybody is sharing that one RAID, it'll be continuously busy, so any speed advantage is really lost.
If somebody is doing some disk intensive task, it'll also effect only the drive they're using instead of slowing down the entire RAID for everybody.
I download from torrent, usenet and regular filehosts and upload to another filehosts, trackers etc. this and for other needs, RDP is more usefull for me. Usually I find really good RDPs, and sometimes I get bad deals like this. Speed and other things not issue at all, they all fine, and reboot is fine too, if I know ahead, but formatting and deleting all my personal settings and .torrent files while on seed is not acceptable. Don't care what happened, raid collapse or servers burst into fire. Next month I am looking into diffrent provider definetly.
HDD crash can happen to any provider and there's no way to predict it. If it happens, then your data will be gone without warning.
Windows RDP is also useful for me. But for any serious seeding, I also have a seedbox for this purpose. This way I always have something even if one of them goes down.
