VPS is Online, but it's down, need help

So I've been having several days downtime at one of my site. For some reason my vps is down, I'm running an unmanaged vps, so the host just leave me alone...

On solusVM the status showing online, however it's down, can't ping it, can't do anything except console on solusvm.

The support said, it's because of high load, however on ram it only hit around 39-41%, barely reach half of the max allocated ram

Can anyone help me? What the * is happening to my vps?

Still not working. However when I logged in on my solusvm serial console I got this

How to do that??

Ask your provider to check it with the DC , Usually this happens when the IP has been Null-routed.

Or just ask your provider to change your IP after that use cloudflare or something similar for ddos protection.

namecheap does not say like this ...i also have un-managed VPS but if i have some major problem they solve it for me for free!!

Okay, I just sent a message to support. Hope they will reply, I don't know what I have to do next if my vps hosting support can't help me with null routed ip.

Now what should I do now? Rebooting doesnt worrk, the stat says it's Online yet I can't access it.

Can you ping any website from the vps ? if you have made any changes to kloxo just reinstall it and see.

If the IP is not null routed and the server is not overloading then you need to check if your vps is either connecting correctly by changing the nameservers (/etc/resolv.conf or by solusvm panel)

Also a big thing people do is they reboot the server with a non virtual kernel which is usually the default kernel

As far as I remembered, I did not make changes to kloxo, and it seems I can't ping from vps

your vps answeres to my ICMP-Request.
port 22 is listening, too

seems like there are no apache etc. installed atm.

please do a traceroute from your PC, to see why you won't get an response

after googeling for 10mins i suppose there's a problem with centos5 and your openvz hosting-version
reinstall the VPS with centOS6 or better debian6
for a vps reinstall in solusvm go to Controls -> General -> reinstall


if you can't reinstall, because you don't have a backup...
try upgrading your centOS (and hope thath your iptables will get upgraded, too)
which isn't really nice, when not being able to load your iptables.

so first try to check your iptables:

iptables -L

is it running?
if no activate it:

system-config-securityleve.

First shutdown your vps.

Then ask the host to boot your vps with a 'force' attribute.

fix xt_connlimit = add IPTABLES xt_connlimit module, if you on VPS you need to ask your host to enable this. OR you can disable connlimit at CSF configuration. There is no Unmanaged VPS excuse for this, coz you cant add this module from vps

Check resolv.conf (/etc/resolv.conf) add
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4

If you getting packet lost check ICMP_IN_RATE (ConfigServer Security & Firewall) try to disable it or change to 60/s for testing.

instead using kloxo, its better use affordable panel like Directadmin & i suggest you to find other vps provider, Unmanaged doesnt always mean they cant help you.
