I think that they are really pissed off, that they dont get sales...
But back to your question: Im not sure, but I think that you dont get something through reflink, uploaded stopped it time ago, I believe.
You get sales, if someone download a file from you and buy until this process a premium account and pay it with a certain payment method. But I dont know which payment method is actually the right one...

Yes, you can pay for premium from your balance, follow regular links on site for buying premium and choose balance as paying option.
Also if you have minimum 10.000 points you can exchange it for 1 month premium.
