Thought experiment

This is a thought experiment regarding PRISM spying program.

Why didn't Google promised to shut down their service, in case US is forcing them to do something that is against constitution, and not really moral? By the size of the Google, and impact on world economy, that would probably be bigger than shutting down any or even several banks at the same time.

Instead they went to battle it in court knowing they stand no chance there. Looks like a farse for the users, nt like real deal. More real was support for SOPA and PIPA, than this.

They COULD if they wanted, to protect their users, problem is, did they wanted, or they were cool with it?

Imagine all these groups that were accused of spying the world, Microsoft, Google Skype and others, organizing, and shutting down at once. What would be left of the internet?

And now Great Britain, involved in same... wow, and they have some guts to accuse China...
