themoviedb API for warez?

Hey guys,

I was looking for an IMDB alternative with an actual API, I found http://www.themoviedb.org/ I was wondering if anyone has emailed the administration and had an API key back from them? Obviously I plan on implementing parts of their database on a warez website and was wondering how the owners would feel about this.

Just for clarification by warez I mean your bog standard linking website (Rapidshare, Megaupload) etc

You can scrape imdb if you are carefull, be sure to run a cache system as they run a detection script looking for autoamted requests, if you cache your requests you will be fine.

I finally got a reply with an API key, im using IMDB for ratings, and as a backup. Everything from themoviedb and IMDB is cached for 3 days before it turns "cold" and has to be looked up again when a user visits a movie listing.
