is it your browser ? you said give feedback, so here was your feedback,suck it up. it is not next big thing or next anything.it is jut same old thing with some make up.like it or not.

Not my browser. Its a nice addition to my list so I thought I would share. :) Dont like it? ignore. Like it? use it.. I never asked for a FEEDBACK. kthxbai! :)

They have already stated that the browser is "Chromium" based.. Get the same addons for Chrome and then tell ;)

How can this be "faster" than Chrome if it's built using Chromium and has lots of addons that allow you to share and download stuff. Addons which slow down your browser. At best it would be the same speed, most likely it's slightly slower as addons don't speed up a browser. Also if a critical security fix is pushed out to Chrome it will then have to be incorporated into this browser leaving you vulnerable while waiting for a fix.

I'm all for additional browsers and choice and happy to see this thread and discussion but don't make claims that aren't true.

They say its based on "Chromium". The entire thing is not a copy. That bar which u ppl seem to call an "addon" is not one, its Torch's inbuilt feature. Torch browser has its own working system and so when there are any critical issues their team would work upon it. Its not CHROME copy, I agree upon the fact that the style of the two is similar but Touch is not Chrome. There is no point on criticizing it. Try it out and you will feel yes there are a few differences. :) Its slightly faster than Chrome (I dont have any addons installed on Chrome) so yes I am speaking according to my experience.

Its a nice thing, hence I thought of bring it on here. That's all. Didn't know that there are so many critics around. :|

@msk - LOL. xD

No point criticizing it? If people don't critically assess a piece of software, then we wouldn't have superior products like Chrome/Firefox. We would instead have crap based on superior product (like this Torch) with absolutely no viable feedback.

You created a thread sharing a software. Creating a thread means for the purpose of discussion. And when people post their opinions, it burns you up lol. Why? You didn't create this, did you? It's not like your software is receiving critical feedback, it's someone else. So far, the only thing I've seen in your replies on this thread is - 'post good feedback or don't post at all'. If that's what you wanted, you should have asked a mod to lock the thread after creating it.

It's based on Chromium with a bunch of extensions and shit. It's not faster for obvious reasons + look at Happy's post again and again until you realize why Torch is far from the 'next big thing'.

LT - Well yes, I agree to what you have said and that's because people are just going upon its look. :| Before criticizing something you always have to use/try out that particular thing until then you have no clear cut vision about the possibilities/good stuff in that particular stuff. Nothing burns me other than the fact that people give out comments and criticize something without any first hand experience. I am using Torch, I have used Chrome and I am also a FF user. I am not an idiot to go around telling that Torch is quite faster until and unless I feel so. :)

Yes you’re your saying it’s faster than Chrome. It’s not. In independent third party reviews of the browser from respected online blogs such as CNET they say it’s slower than Chrome. I’ve also ran some quick benchmark tests here and these confirm my initial thoughts and reviews by other trusted sources. You have provided no proof, links or data to show your claim of it faster when loads of data, not to mention common sense, says otherwise.

It's this "faster than Chrome" claim that's annoying me and the reason your getting these types of replies in this thread.

...Once you get over the novelty, it becomes obvious that Torch Browser isn't that powerful as a Web portal. It's noticeably slower than other browsers....
