Well they have the right to do that, it is in their ToS, and your activity was questionable.
No they didn't because his only activity was to receive money from Netload and if Netload's activities are questionable, they shouldn't have approved Netload's paypal account in the first place.

@axl, did you receive a big payment or sth? Can you keep us updated on this matter? This is really getting out of hand.

Filehost Need To B Use Bank Transfer Now.

yea exactly, absolutely right. So when some big ass music label like universal send filehosts a court notice to give information about the user who uploaded a particular file then filehost can give your name along with bank account details to them. Superbly best way to get caught for file copyright infringement

What you think about OKPAY , are they can replace Paypal .. where(country) OKPAY is usable , I think with their prepaid card they can use from everyone

USE webmoney/liberty reserve...

promote them, by giving 1 month extra free account if you buy from webmoney/LR, i am sure user will like it.

And yes it is difficult to move from paypal, but slowly they understood the situation and move...

because uploader upload illegal files, downloader downloading illegal files ==>> now a small banner will make downloader to use webmoney/Liberty reserve

"Downloader who buy filehost accounts are logged by PAYPAL and may use it against you so prefer webmoney"

atleast downloader think about webmoney, few may prefer webmoney :) because we can easily add fund to webmoney using master/visa credit card :)

You need to read their ToS, everyone that get's a PP account has to agree to it. That alone gives them the right to suspend or terminate your account at their discretion for any reason they deem appropriate.

Netload is not doing anything illegal in operating their business, but those of you that upload copyright protected files that you do not own the rights to is. It is probably also a violation of Netloads ToS, whether they enforce it or not is not the issue.

What good is an alternate method to pay you if the host ends up on all CC and financial services providers blacklist and they can not receive money.

@humour Yeah right .....1000 people upload same copyrighted material ....from 40 differnt countrys ...be sure that everyone will go in court.I dont give a sh%t about this.
Anyway what is the real reason that Paypal blocked filehosts accounts? And only filehosts that have affiliate program?
US dont like other people to make money!
Why they not close megashares, mediafire, rapidshare and a lot other hosts that dont have affiliate programs?
In rapidhare for example are a lot more illegal stuffs then in any other filehost!!

US hate to see that other people try to make money !!

Paypal is verry popular payment processor in online bussiness and is US company.
Also VISA and Masterard are US companies, i see it as next target for combating Filehosts with affiliate program!

cancel is right, USA don't want others to make money :)

so one simple solution is "Boycott paypal" use/promote webmoney/Liberty reserve all're safe

With paypal FIlehost is not safe and users are logged (Users who pay through paypal is also not safe)

Paypal having proof that an uploader is uploading copyrighted material is one thing (not sure since when they have become part of MPAA/RIAA/etc), limiting people's accounts because they wanted to is another. They can limit people's accounts because of the latter because it is in their TOS but the former is impossible because they can't possibly have proof for such thing.

1000s of ppl do this yes you are right, but thousands of those ppl doesnt giveaway thr information to filehosts its like inviting legal ppl to sweep your ass. Havent u heard about people getting caught for earning money from online pirated stuffs ?

@humour they can find out anyway.
I am paypal verified user ....and to become verified i must send them copy of my ID , and electricity bills.
So they can found out your identity even if you enter real details or fakes!
Also they can check IP , if they really want to caught you

You morons, using Bank Transfer would facilitate the feds jobs, retarded morons.

On a serious note, did you guys ever knew there is a word 'facilitate', ehh..

You are obviously a boob! They do not need proof to suspend or terminate your account, it is at their discretion. Again read their ToS and this time try and comprehend what you are reading.

It is the golden rule, They have the Gold and They make the Rules. Any argument you can suggest will be meet with the same result, they make the rules for their service not you.

If you do not like it do not use it.

Keep in mind though that the CC companies are the 1s being pressured by Gov't, the courts and the real money clients like Sony. For PP to operate as a whole they need the CC companies who are pressuring PP to not process for the filehosts. Any processor that has a merchant account to accept CC payments will eventually have to follow the same guidelines or they will loose the ability to accept CCs entirely.

Again no one is going to risk their business so you can profit for questionable activity.

@WDF And then why host like mediafire, rapidshare ...etc (that dont have affiliate programs) are not affected??

I tell you why:
US is the biggest cash whore !!!And cant see other making money. As i already said .....on rapidshare are more illegal stuffs then in any other host with affiliate program!!!!!!

Real Fact: Illegal stuffs is not the problem (because dont affect the biggests hosters of illegal stuffs) , the problem is the money !

lol just think, you would catch a person of which you have all the information via one source or would you catch a person for which you have to dealt with other sources like PP as well. It is series of procedure b4 PP give out your details. So most probably they(feds) wont do much of searching but if you giveaway all your details at one place they dont need to send legal notice to one more company(PP) & they has all the details they need to proceed against you.

@WDF, apparently you didn't read what I wrote properly, they CAN limit accounts because they want to but they CAN'T do so because the user might be an uploader of copyrighted material since there is no way they might have proof of the latter or at least the latter can't be the reason they would tell the user because they have no proof and they'd have to come up with some other excuse; Paypal isn't such a law-less company after all.
Regardless of this, we have to wait for axl's reply, they might have limited his account for 1001 reasons; maybe they have done so because he has gotten big money from NL even though he hasn't had that much money transferred into/outside his account previously or sth similar.

If PayPal can ask that thing which axl told us then it is obviously very annoying thing that if i am dealing with legit income and i get paid from some of legit companies or from anywhere, so do i need to clear my position every time when i got the payment??? Isn't it insane? Why would i tell them? I'm talking about legitimate point of view. Do they ask for legitimate payments as well?

He is a boob?!

Exactly! That is why he refuses to understand how things actually work rather then how he wants them to work.

(that dont have affiliate programs) You answered your own question in your question.

No the problem is you are making money off of others work that you have no rights too. If you had to work and not earn from it you would be out for blood. Do not say it is different or you would not because we have seen it in threads of file host that failed to pay their affiliates or changed their terms or got their PP limited. suspended, or terminated.

Another 1 that refuses to acknowledge that they are not entitled to earn from others work.

I want you to work all week then give me the money you earn from it, would you do that willingly. If I took the money from you without your permission would you be happy?

You are all complaining the money is being stolen from you but in reality you stole it from someone else, so was it really yours to begin with? The short answer is NO.

You can blame everyone under the sun and those underground also. The primary person you need to blame is the 1 you look at in the mirror.

You all claim to share but if you are getting paid to do it are you really sharing in the true sense of the word or just trying to sugarcoat the fact you are selling stolen property?

Added: @Arthur But you are not doing something legitimate and knowing the industry they know a payment from Netload or other certain file-hosts is from file-sharing and some of the amounts are much too large to be from your home movies, etc. Yes PP and all the other processors know your dirty little secret, they are an internet based company and know what you are doing and what is going on.

You keep trying to compare your activity to legitimate activity and you know you can not compare it and they know it is not legit. When they started this campaign of verifying payment sources you should have all taken the hint that the ride was close to over, but suckers got to cash-whore until it just don't work no more!
