sourceforge files clean or infected?

I have never had an infected file from what I know from sourceforge.

It's clean I think. but there are some hacking tool in sourceforge that might be suspected as virus by your AV

It depends on the file.. SourceForge is huge and anything could be uploaded.

As a good rule of thumb anything no matter where you download its a good idea to run it through virus total before installing on your computer.

I have never had problem with infected files.Its always good choose to scan the file if you dont trust the creator of the program, byt geberaly files are clean on sourceforge.

any file on sourceforge can hav virus since it is open to everyone. but i hav never got a virus from any of downloads from sourceforge
