Removing side of a template

Well I didn't really know how to word the title so sorry! lol.
Anyway, I've a made a simple template but the right hand side (black) I don't want. How do I change the padding or w/e it is to remove the right hand side and just have the template I've made center?

just make the width 100% of everything? Also why did you code the right bar in the first place?

I didn't code the right bar, my template is 1000x1000 and the actual design is fitted to that. Opened it in Frontpage to get my links and stuff sorted but then this right hand side appeared.
