i think there is 2 much happening.

some simple text (a short sales pitch if you can call it that) and below it a nice "register now" image....currently the ones u have is way over the top and looks messy.

Well I must say Flash's banner is awesome, original and great. But in my opinion such a banner won't suit a webmaster forum. Webmasters forums are not something like 'For Lulz', they're supposed to be serious content rich forums.

Best idea would be to measure CTR & Conversion rate on both banners

Then we will know what does best!
