For those of you who do this for a living or just for some extra income, what were the reason(s) for you wanting to work online?

For example...

Money?
Hate working for someone else?
Too many ideas and a waste not to use them?

Yours might be some or none of the above! :)

Personally, I have been working online now for many years and I guess my main reason were the three listed above (wanted to work for myself and try and implement some of my ideas).

You?

Freedom of living 2 steps from your work and no schedules
It fits with my reserved personality
And your 3rd one, its challenging and exciting

Money... It depends where you live and the cost of living, 500$ in UK dont have the same value as 500$ in India or Vietname

As a beginner (and young), the main reason is the "no schedules" (even if I'm around 12 hours per day behind my computer haha). Also being able to work with your favourite musics in the background is really nice.

Working online is better as you are in your comfort zone and you dont have to worry about the hours. You can adjust the timings and manage your tasks.

Thanks for the answers guys. It seems that all our reasons are similar :) (working hours to suit ourselves, freedom aspect, responsible for our own success and so on).

I have a passion towards working online and hence do it in my free time. I believe money and comfort factors are the biggest reasons for majority of the people to work / earn money online.
