well, it's a little bit encouraging to read someone of you found good improvements from Rapidgator's efforts for a better service (thinking about Matrix or asiongaso) but mostly of us still have got problems with them.
I am a free user and:
1. my uploading speed is almost ridiculous with webupload and, after the upload is done, it freezes for 1 or 2 mins before I can have the link
2. ftp looks working at the moment but the past days I always experienced problems (e.g. the upload starts but, near the end, it blocks and restarts again everytime.)
3. the remote upload from my old RS account is always in queue: even waiting 2 or 3 hours for a 9 MB file it's always in queue.
4. the downloading speed for free users is terrible (slow and, especially,
inconstant from 0 to 15 kb/s with few highs of 40 kb/s).
All those things of course (especially the downloading speed) affected my statistics. First day I registered with rapidgator I only wanted to try and uploaded no more than 10 files in one single place. Got about 100 downloads in 2 days, then started the server problems, my stats rapidly decreased and I got complaints about rapidgator, asking me to use another hosting.
I tried to continue with RG, but after experiencing everyday a new problem I choose to stop and wait as I wrote a few days ago.
I moved to another ("shitty") host leaving a door opened here, of course I saw a few improvements for the service since 15th Feb but I think now it's the time to give a chance for free users too. I am not asking for the 300 kb/sec I experienced the first day I tried RG, but neither the 0-10 kb/s I have actually. I can't ask people to download big files at 10 kb/s and I can't pretend each of them to buy premium!
