Questions about buying adult themed domain, hosting, wordpress...

Ok, I got a few questions for people in here that understand this topic better than me.

Here is my idea. I upload via keep2share adult content. Mainly vintage french xxx movies. I am considering buying domain and having some website with this content, but I dont really know much about it.

What I know and understand is, that you can buy domain pretty easily via namecheap or godaddy or some others, and its fairly cheap. I mean around 10 bucks a year, which is ok. But they are offering me com, us, net, me and others and I am not sure which will suit best the vintage xxx content. Also not sure about choosing the right domain name. They are lot of available. Should it be as short as possible (even though it will not exactly describe the content on that website) or should it be longer and saing exactly what content that sites provide?

Ok, so that is domain, now about hosting. I am aware, that when you have urchased domain for one year, you need some hosting solution for it. Can you reccomend some, that will suit the adult content, will be for a year for a fair price and will be exactly what is needed for that kind of web I am planning to do? Also how much it can cost for one year?

Ok, another question is for wordpress templates. I´ve heard that it is pretty easy to work in wordpress. And that is good, since I am not really experienced in making websites (I mean not at all). So is it reall that I just find some finished adult xxx wordpress template and I will just very easily add my content to it?

Ok, that is enough for now. Please excuse my english, not my first language and I hope that someone will take time and will answer me.

Have a nice day

Best regards

Ted

Dont register with GoDaddy, you'll regret it - stick with NameCheap.

For hosting go with knownsrv (hes on this forum) and is a really responsible hosting provider.

Also, you should also put your webserver behind cloudflare (its free) as it will help increase your speed and help against attackers.

Regarding domain names, I'd suggest to get one as brief as possible and one that is topical. There is no need to get a domain name that has 50 words in it, SEO (search engine optimization) really won't benefit from this - rather other things such as metatags will, and most CMS (such as wordpress) have excellent plugins/modules/addons for automation of this.

As far as which platform (CMS) to go with, if this is your first website then definitely stick with WordPress. Its what I suggest to anyone looking to make their first website for whatever type of site they're looking to make.

Last tip: Google around for a CMS scanner, theres tons of them out there and it lets you insert a website URL and it tells you what the website is running. Its definitely useful when you've got a couple websites eyed out for what you want yours to be like.
