I highly recommend you separate the homepage server and file server, you can host youro homepage on a VPS, and just buy file server in other place.

You are looking to rent a server? Quite an expense don't you think? Would it not be prudent to go for a smaller server and upgrade depending on performance? Our first server had 6x2TB HDDs in RAID 6 and that proved to be overkill.
