You're the only one - trust me, if you weren't the wjunction community would be all over this.
This is where people who are unfamiliar with how things work and try to bring a company down mentally, certain things could make a new business look bad or end support on forums and go only to tickets.
If you don't understand how things work. We don't want that. So instead of asking the same question multiple times - read a few post past your original post to see if there is a response.
I am also live in the US - I am also at work.
Here is my internet speed at work - it's shitty.
Here is my upload speed at openload with this shitty connection
At home my speed is about 60 down and 5 up - and at home I still get around 600 KB/s - your speed is 100% related to something on your end - Your ISP could limit upload speeds. Who is your ISP? Living in the US I am familiar with almost all major ISPs as I have used most of them.
Take a speed test at speedtest.net and post the results here - Marcel can't distinguish if the problem is on their end or yours. Just saying "Why are your speeds at 250KBs?" Then having people address it, then posting it again without additional information to help, only delays the response, if you get one at all.
Especially if you already posted it here
and it was already addressed by Marcel himself.
It would be like me saying to Marcel, "I hate your service!" then not giving him any feedback on how he can improve it. It's the same concept. If I owned a business and I saw a response like that - I wouldn't even bother replying to it.
If I'm correct their servers are located in Germany - that could play a factor in it. You might be use to host that have their servers elsewhere which could explain why you have fast speeds with other host, but openload has the fastest download speeds of any host I have seen, that doesn't require a premium subscription. They don't use a cut and paste script like the other 273 host out there, there is actual developers and a network analyst running openload. Last time I spoke with Marcel I asked him how many severs he had. His response was 26. That's outstanding for a site that is so young, and you can tell with the speeds they show.
If they are
TRULY concerned about bandwidth they would
not limit upload speed,
they would limit download speed.
It cost host 3-4x more to put out bandwidth then to take in.
If you saw my post from earlier from the first time you posted about speeds you would see I helped advise you with a solution if speed is truly an issue with you.
Marcel has helped me with a speed issue when I had it (turned out to be on my end) even had me run a trace-route. The support is there, it's up to you how you take it and what you do with it. If you ignore advice/suggestions/solutions it's all on you.
I don't work for openload (I'm just a user like everyone else here,
but I understands how things work) - just here to add my two cents like everyone else, because Marcel may tell you the same thing and he's making us fabulous new features with his team!! I can't wait!
