You might try printing the PNG image as a PDF file using Bullzip PDF printer, and then use Dolphin Easy Converter to convert the PDF to text. It won't be a perfect conversion, but you can edit what DEC messes up.
For example, the "t"s in this font look like "x". So if DEC makes all the t's an x, then just take it into Word and do a "Find/Replace"...FIND t...REPLACE x...and then you will have to find the words where there should be an "x" that is now "t" and change them back manually. lol.
Really....no matter what you use, you will have some work ahead of you.

In fact, I just did this: I printed the image to PDF with Bullzip, and then I used an online "PDF to OCR" converter, and what came out was jibberish. But maybe the Dolphin Easy Converter could do better. Obviously, you can do this if the OCR will recognize this typeface; otherwise, you will do better just to hire someone to type it out or do it yourself.

Well I had tried Primo PDF earlier to convert image into PDF & then ran it on OCR.. I also Tried Abbyy PDF transformer but still there was no change.. I'll try Dolphin Easy Converter ....

I am trying a method atm, i'll let ya know if it works.

I didn't work, I dont think any software would be able to convert that complex font... it has to be done by hand.

How many pages are there? I might be able to type them, but for a price.

People are managng to convert them. Most of them are using Abby fine reader or some variant of it. so there has to be a way.

Where did you get that information? I would like to check it out.

TOCR has a free download and it does not do any better than the others.

Fashion, to glimpse it all in a day or two or three, a few thousands come for long enough to taste most of it or really to see a little. Fewer, but still increasingly many, are those who come to live a little with yosemite; among these we find the lovers of nature, the poets, the seers, the dreamers, and the students. Living is very pleasant in the yosemite. The freedom from storm during the long season, the dry warmth of the days and the coldness of the nights, the inspiration of the surroundings and the completeness of the equipment for the comfort of visitors make it extraordinary among mountain resorts. There is a hotel in the valley, and another upon the rim at glacier point. There are three large hotel camps in the valley, where one may have hotel comforts under canvas at camp prices. Two of these hotel camps possess swimming pools, dancing pavilions, tennis courts electrically lighted for night play, hot and cold water tubs and showers, and excellent table service. One of the hotel camps, the largest provides evening lectures, song services, and a general atmosphere suggestive of chataugua.

I typed it. I didn't use any program.
