Hiring need an php expert to fix scrapper error issue

i have a scrapper and it is having issue of not grabbing thumbnail images correctly , it saves without jpg extension with 0 kb size and shows as broken image.... it is just a small fix so i need an expert.

Did it recently stop working or is this new code?

Can you paste code snippet so that we can see what the problem could be?
