BTW you can install ffmpeg, mplayer by this script also .
wget http://mirror.ffmpeginstaller.com/old/scripts/ffmpeg7/ffmpeginstaller.7.4.tar.gz
tar -xvf ffmpeginstaller.7.4.tar.gz
cd ffmpeginstaller.7.4
chmod a+x install.sh
./install.sh

install yasm on centos 5. on 6 I didn't try that yet

yum -y install yasm yasm-devel

on Debian/Ubuntu
apt-get -y install yasm yasm-dev
