Just because the new 360 doesn't have red LEDs in the front panel, doesn't mean it won't melt down and cause something similar to RROD. Shit could still happen, the only difference is that there is no red LEDs to indicate a failure.

I never had RROD but then again I've only had the 360 for the past 3 years or so.

two of my friends have had multiple rrod's

one has gotten 7 or 8 new consoles idr how many, the other 3 but then he switched to ps3 and hasn't had a problem since

I know a friend that had a problem with his PS3 (I think it was the reading laser) and got 2-3 new replacements in the span of two years. Shit happens to all consoles.
