Why would you want to prune or delete inactive users? If you make your members to validy their emails while registering in your site, you have tons of the most valuable content in the world. Information. With info, you can have power to build a better community.

Instead of prunning them, try send a email to each regarding this 'inactivity'.
The most intelligent action nowadays is to collect more data possible from people and not waste it.
