How much TB/Month did you use, prior to the move?

You could check out sweden, there are a few serious hosts there and good bandwidth - as well as canada.

Then it will depend the host...
 
Russia is beast but I've not come across a dedi server that's fast :'(

Netherlands is a big fat no-no, I've been there done that, and it's been reported that even Ecatel suspend servers when BREIN(anti-piracy.nl) contact them.

I need a country as I said before that doesn't have silly groups/organisations that try getting the website banned from the internet for good.

sweden, hong kong, china, iran. Sweden sounds nice, but I've not come across a provider that gives bandwidth for a sexy price. Hong Kong I've never tried nor China/Iran. Any reviews about thoses counties? Sweden then again has had some big court cases like TPB.org, then again so has Russia.

I Believe page rank can change when you change ips, as you will have the same backlinks the page rank should increase again. (Mr Happy will be the best person to confirm as im not 100% sure.)

Thats the problem its mostly far east countries that dont have these groups atall and there internet is not the best or its good incountry but not great to other countries,

Have you tried getting them to upgrade you to the 1gbps line that should increase speed, Otherwise for better speed sweden seems the safest bet, they have good speed (i believe some of the best in the word) and their is allot of hosts who dont care for dmca, but im not going to lie, for a decent server with more than 3TB bandwidth its going to cost you more money than $100.

You could also try hosting in the Uk, e.g.

I was speaking to one of their rep the other day and they said aslong as the site is legal they will not take any action and they forward takedown notices to you to take action if they see the site as illegal, but it was all a bit grey about what they think constitues legal or not, (namely diffrent reps told me diffrent specifics) so if you do decide on them it would be worth paying spitice for his reverse proxy service, then notices get sent to his dc and not your actual datacenter.

Like someone else said about iran, from a legal standpoint they are the perfect country (e.g. if its not made in iran its not copyrighted) but their net is 1-2mbps so speeds will be much much worse than ukraine.

I would also think it would be wise to stay clear of wjunction hosts, too many recently have again proved to be unreliable and pretty much none are real companies.
 
well man what i can say is that a french forum with nearly 1.3 million members just move out of switzerland and went to russia and their reason was to protect the privacy and survival of the forum we were forced to move out to russia,and what i can say speed is good too,there are too much hosting providers here just thinking netherland is safe i wished there were more location like russia,asia etc if you want that forum link just pm ;)

Also safe (If you know how to manage DMCA complains.): Canada, Netherlands

Not safe: Germany, USA, etc...
