Hi... new member here. I'm currently using a file host which is rapidly going down hill... Slingfile...

Used to have 10 sec wait time... now has 60 + another 40-60 while you wait for it to connect to the server to fetch the file unless it times out first... Also, used to to have no restrictions on how many files you can download... now its 1 file every 30 mins... this is horrid and my users are complaining that the files don't work half the time... We were using Slingfile simply because we know the owner... But the time has come to move on.

What I'm looking for is a host that has PPD (doesn't have to be high but at least $1/1k) and pays for small files... we have at least 10k files that are under 1mb. Also, due to the sheer quantity of files we need to serve, we need a host with FTP or mass web uploading.

I thought filesin.com might work but unfortunately it doesn't look like they offer any kind of uploading tool besides the horrid one on their homepage. Remote uploading in this case is too much of a hassle and I won't be able to even see the extent of it unless I pay for premium.

So if anyone knows of a file host that meets those requirements, please let me know as we desperately need it and so do our downloaders.

Regarding the upload tools: if that's your only problem with a host, I'm sure you can find some coders here who can make the uploading task easier for you, or even make it automatic ;)

Thanks... if I could get that problem solved, then filesin would be perfect for us to use.

Unfortunately, time is an issue and I don't know of any tools to facilitate this. I'll look around but I don't expect to find much. Not even sure exactly what I'd call it in order to search for it if it exists.

I assume you're referring to something I'd install on my PC and run which would automate the upload process?

Thanks guys... thought filesin was a good choice but apparently they couldnt handle the load we were giving them... Over 6,000 files in 24 hours... We actually broke their upload system... now all uploading for everyone is broken.

So, I'm trying to hunt for a new filehost again.... fileband is no good due to their select all checkbox being broken... I'm not individually checking that many boxes to move the files into folders. If they fix that, I'll reconsider. Until then....

If anyone could point me to a PPD filehost that is somewhat reputable and has no minimum file size limit, I would greatly appreciate it.
