Well I finally got tired of this sort of problem I have. I would like to see if anyone knows what really is going on so I can know how to fix it.

Here are two pics:

1) Normal Laptop Screen:

2) Screen "Flickering":

I would like to know what seems to be causing this. It happens at random moments.

Thank you

it could be a variety of things.
from bad drivers -- to your laptop / gfx overheating -- to the monitor wires from the lcd to the motherboard

if you don't know what it is or how to begin to diagnose it, i would suggest going to a computer repair place and ask for help. (As it could be a variety of things)

Looks like a hardware fault. A few quick checks:

Does it happen no matter what position the lid/screen's in? If it happens more in one position(ish) than others - It might be the cable(s).

Plug another monitor in & try it with both enabled and with the laptop screen disabled (ie - External only). If the external monitor's OK, then chances are it's cable(s). Otherwise it's looking like a MOBO/Chipset issue.

Check your drivers, just to be 100% certain though, & like Sandino says: If your unsure - Take it to a shop as there are a few simple things it could be really (A clean out & checking the fan might just do it).

Hope it's not too serious ;)

Thanks for your inputs, they are really useful, I will definitely try them. I sure do hope it's not too serious aswell.
