He announced on z-o-o-m forum that he won't be available until 15th September.

z-o-o-m is not as good as it was, you have to donate if you want to be able to upload more.
Not sure what non paying users can upload in a day but for 50GB/day you would have to "donate" $5.

Yes, the contest is real but until now no one reached 100k downloads.
At this moment we don't have a time limit for contests. They will be available as long as members won't try to generate fraudulent downloads to their files.
